Wir haben die zwei Tage Locarno und Umgebung sehr genossen und zwei tolle Wanderungen unternommen !
Pros:

Die Lage ist zwar sehr zentral und wenige Schritte vom Bahnhof und der Schiffanlege-Stelle entfernt. Leider ist nachts der Strassenlärm störend, insbesondere wenn lärmige Motorradfahrer und Auto-Poser unnötigerweise ?! unterwegs sind.
Aber die Angestellten sind alle sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und machen einen tollen Job. Das Frühstück war sehr fein und reichhaltig, und kann auch draussen auf dem Balkon genossen werden ! Das Zimmer, die Betten und die Dusche/Toilette sind sehr sauber und zweckmässig und auch von der Grösse her sehr bequem.

Cons:

wie erwähnt der nächtliche, unnötige Strassenlärm. Das ist aber ein Problem, welches Locarno-Tourismus und die Stadtbehörden lösen muss, resp. auch die Gäste der Stadt Locarno und Umgebung darüber sensibilisiert werden sollten.
Es ist ein Gebot der Rücksichtnahme, welche nicht nur hier und in dieser Sache heute leider zu kurz kommt !

Für einen Kurztripp tiptop, sonst würde der Verkehrslärm stören.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Schiff, Bahn, Bergbahn und Altstadt mit Piazza Grande.
Als Hotelkunde 10% Vergünstigung aufs Essen im Restaurant.

It could not be a better location. The views were amazing and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The staff was beyond kind and friendly and went above and beyond to provide safe gluten free breakfast options for my very sensitive celiac daughter. The breakfast was delicious and we had plenty of delicious options. The rates were so reasonable. We won’t stay anywhere else if we ever come back!
