Great location & staff!
Shower water temperature could not be made more hot. Seemed lukewarm at best.
The staff was so friendly; the rooms were clean and nice. Walking around the hotel was fun because there is interesting art displayed everywhere. There is an old castle on the property which also makes it interesting. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. There is a breakfast buffet as well as hot, made to order items on the menu. We had drinks at the Knights Bar and the Brasserie Bar. Both were great. We had dinner at the Canopy which was also excellent. We were able to easily walk to town and eat at a restaurant owned by the property called the Hunted Hog, which is a traditional Irish Pub. Some of the people in our group golfed and loved the experience. The grounds are beautiful. I would definitely go back and stay here in the future. There is a large parking lot and no charge to park your car.
There was nothing that we didn't like. My only suggestion would be areas where you can get more casual type food for the afternoon, something quick and easy. It would be great if there were more restaurants in town because the walk from the hotel is very easy. In town, we only ate at the restaurant owned by the resort, the Hunted Hog.
The room was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was enormous. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Minor decor faults in the room. Service was a little slow.
The gardens, the walks, the facilities like tennis courts, etc.
Some of the staff need to be trained up. This is a five star hotel, but you wouldn’t think it by some of the staff. They need to be friendlier and engage in chat with customers when customers initiate it (Knights bar).
Also, you do not want to be made feel like you are a burden to the staff by simply being there ( Kirby’s bar)!
Apart from those two areas the staff were very nice and professional.
It feels like it is missing something, it didn’t quit feel like a 5 star experience.
Rooms were awesome, staff fantastic, facilities spotless.
Kitchen closed at 8:30 so we had to go an order (the same menu) to our room. That seemed pointless.

Nothing….it’s perfect
We arrived to be greeted by a lovely receptionist who explained the fabulous resort. The room was fabulous overlooking the tennis courts. The beds were so comfortable. We were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary and we were greeted by two lovely treats to celebrate. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool, sauna, and spa were fabulous. We had food in the bar which was very tasty. We would definitely go back.
