Banaras Paying Guest House

Kind people who are running the guest house, preparing breakfast each day from 09-10 am. The room was clean and the location is great! They also offer cheap and quick laundry service. Besides that, they can help you arrange a yoga, music or cooking lesson for a good price.

Naveen and Krishna are locals from very long time, they can told you what to do or where to go but at the same time you have freedom to explore, we feel like home, they put a lot of effort and heart in the details, great place to stay very close to Assi Ghat.

Best hotel in Assi Ghat. The guys are funny and very welcoming.

The owners try to help with everything. We stayed in two rooms, one upstairs with a balcony and one downstairs by the reception. The upstairs room was clean, and the bedding was spotless. Unfortunately, the downstairs room wasn't so clean. There's no phone reception in the downstairs room, and no Wi-Fi with a signal. The room rates are reasonable, but the laundry service is a major drawback. 900 rupees for a laundry bag is a steal; it's a shame we didn't ask before doing the laundry. Overall, it's an acceptable hotel, but avoid the extra services.

Location close to Assi Ghat was great, room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was such a social experience up on the rooftop and also delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here and mrt knew friends.

L’accueil et la gentillesse des deux frères qui tiennent cette guest house. Le petit dej est très bon et très copieux. Ils organisent des tours en bateau et le taxi pour l’aéroport. Très bien placé Assi gath pour les cérémonies.

I had a wonderful stay at Banarash Guest House near Assi Ghat. The location is excellent – just a short walk to the ghat, making it very convenient for morning Ganga aarti and exploring the area.

Hosts Naveen and Krishna are incredible guys that are ready to help you get around the city. On top of that you can enjoy delicious breakfast made by them on the roof with other travelers. My bed mattress was on the firmer side which I appreciated.

Had an excellent stay at Banaras Guest House. Rooms are basic but fine, excellent location 2 minutes walk away from Assi Ghat. Breakfast was great. The best part of the experience is Naveen and Krishna’s hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble and they helped me and my friend with everything we needed. We were always greeted with a smile and a laugh. Thank you for making our stay in Varanasi so special.

If you want a friendly, budget-friendly stay near the river with a relaxed rooftop vibe and decent breakfast, this place generally gets good reviews. But if you prefer very polished services or luxury amenities, it’s not that kind of hotel. Most travellers who like cultural, local-style stays enjoy it, but a few have had mixed experiences.

We werden goed ontvangen en konden meteen een boottour regelen. Het ontbijt op de rooftop was heerlijk en je kon hier lekker relaxen aan het einde van de dag. De locatie is top en je bent zo bij de ganges. De host nam ons ook nog mee naar een muziekfestival en we hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf in Banaras.

Very happy with my stay. Room was clean and quiet. Naveen and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooftop was nice to relax on. Highly recommend.
