Grand appart et chouette piscine interieure
The appartment was clean and big enough to accomodate five people. There was a fireplace, which was really nice to have.
Unfortunately, the things we didn't like were more than what we liked: during the whole stay (8 days) the towels where changed only once and after our requeste; the air in the SPA center was cold, the there were three saunas, but only one was working; the water in the swimming pool was very cloudy and I didn't let my kids in it (it was like that during the whole stay). The food in the restaurant was OK, but almost the same every day and not much choice. For breakfast there was a local dish called banitsa, which is really good pastry, when it is freshly baked and homemade, but unfortunately the one in the restaurant was from the frozen one sold in the shops (equivalent of the frozen pizza). As a whole I wouldn't recommend it as the cost was not cheap, but the quality of the service was not what you would expect.
This is not a 4 star.
Staff are uninterested in doing anything. Waited 4 days for handwash bottle to be replaced. No room amenities. Bathrooms old and run down with wires showing. Food pretty poor especially fkr vegetarian. Meat often was undercooked.
Pool aree dirty and run down.
gut
This hotel deserves zero stars. From the moment we arrived, the service was atrocious. The head waiter was incredibly rude, condescending, and unprofessional. He treated us like an inconvenience and made us feel unwelcome.
The food was equally disappointing. It was bland, poorly prepared, and lacked any flavor. The cleanliness of the hotel was also subpar. Our room was dusty, the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, and the overall hygiene standards were questionable.
The service throughout the hotel was consistently terrible. Staff were unhelpful, slow to respond, and seemed uninterested in providing any kind of assistance. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.
Pleasant hotel with spa facilities in a quiet, green area. Staff was friendly, breakfast offered variety. The bed was a bit too soft, but overall the room was fine.
We stayed for a few days - when we arrived we found out that there was a youth camp in the hotel that took over all the hotel and we felt like we had no place there.
Amazing property. Will be back! Thank you
Cheap, clean and ok good food.
The two bedroom apartment was as expected. The bedrooms were with Mountain view and the balcony with pool. Rooms are spacious and kitchen is supplied with everything needed. There are oven, stove top, fridge and tea and coffee makers. The apartment has 2 bathrooms and a shower.
Not in enough promoted hotel. Excellent food (breakfast and a la card). Generally, in Bulgaria people working as waiters are not pleasant and this hotel are not exceptional. Big and clean apartments.
Sehr erholsam, idyllische gelegen am Rande des Piringebirge. Schöne Poolanlage, sowohl innen als auch aussen. Frühstück reichhaltig.
Spectacular views from our room. All employees were attentive and professional. Loved the food in the restaurant and the pool was sparkling. Would love to come back again.
the hotel is very old, the service very poor , almost no one speak English, the bathroom inside the room is very small , and overall I'm not satisfied at all. I stayed for 3 nights and they only fix the beds every day and nothing else , they don't even wash the dishes for 3 days!!!
Так себе номер. В спальне нет телевизора, в гостиной очень маленький. В ванной комнате не повернуться, очень тесная.
Comfortable, clean and everything prepared and heat was turned on before our arrival. It's a comfortable place to stay skiing in Bansko. It's about 20+ minutes from the Gondola and there's free shuttle bus. The hotel food was pretty good and less pricey than the places in town.
nice hotel. pool very small and crowded, no towels or flipflops to use. sauna/hamam not in same building as rooms so people have to walk outside at cold weather to go to rooms. Elevators very slow. Kids place good and spacious lot of toys. location is outside bansko need car. breakfast was ok and personel working very friendly. parking easy. free shuttle bus to gondola. Rooms clean warm and spacious.
issues:
- very small tv and not plugs to charge phones. I had to find to use plugs of sidebed lamps to get some power
- checkout problem with double payment hope to resolve soon.
- Fridge was not plugged in when arrived.

The Balkan Jewel Resort is located outside the city. It's a 15 minute drive to Bansko with almost nothing in between. So if you don't want to spend your entire time at the resort, you'll have to take a shuttle to the city.
The resort is split up into four building, unfortunately they are not connected with an internal walkway. Ergo you have to exit your building to go to the restaurant, the front desk, the gym/massage room/ jacuzzi, etc. Think about that in the winter; you'll have to wear a winter coat just to go for breakfast or pack a bag to go for a massage.
We went during the off season. We were in the Amber building of the resort. All the lights in the building were almost always off, so we would have to turn on the lights when we entered/exited the building and our floor. The building was deserted. It's just strange for a hotel.
The sole restaurant at the resort isn't very good but it's your only option if you don't want to get out.
I regret picking the Balkan Jewel Resort. I strongly recommend picking a hotel in Bansko, around the city center instead.
