Pros:

The location was okay as it was easy to access my place of work.

Cons:

I didnt like the fact that so many rooms have to share a bathroom and the location of my room wasnt okay as i have to go all the way to the top floor via stairs. And also, all through my stay i was never given break fast. Although the staff was nice.

Perfect for a budget
Pros:

Great place to stay near to town, local amenities and bus routes. Lovely breakfast with plenty of tea and toast, Stuart was a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome and tolerated me chatting so much!

Great location (walkable distance to city center). Easy free street parking. Superb breakfast. Lovely, helpful and friendly owner. Modest place, well maintained, you can’t ask for more.

Friendly, warm and welcoming stay
Pros:

As much as it was clean beds and very comfy it was more about being greeted by such a lovely person and being made to feel very welcome. Nothing was a bother! The breakfast was great and to have that included at such a modest price was impressive! Loved the homely feel and it was just the ticket for our night stay when heading to Beamish the next day.

Lovely warm welcome from Stuart. Room was small but very clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Brilliant value. Would definitely come here again if we're on holiday in the area.
