Staff very kind
Almost everything was quite good
1) The location might be better: the nearest 7-11 is around 800 meters walking from there. Although there some canteens nearby.
2) Sound isolation in the rooms is not that good, sometimes it's a little bit too noisy to there.
I liked the place, but the room seemed to be full of mosquitoes, fleas, coacroaches etc. Other than that, the bed was ok, the location was in a good part of town, close to lots of bars and restaurants.
The mosquitoes and roaches etc.
Quite clean and not noisy
All good
Good air conditioner comfortable bed
Lacking hot water for the shower
Friendliness of staff. Provided good info on Elephant festival and breakfast around the area
Nothing
The staff were okay they assist you in everything you need.the facilities were okay, clean and comfortable.
None so far
Despite the hotel's terms of payment on the spot, I was forced to pay for my stay in advance (in a way only used by Thai citizens), otherwise I lose my reservation
Surin is a super sleepy province- unless you're headed for the annual Elephant festival around Novermebr each year- so a majority of the accommodation will be a no-frills experience.
However, what it does offer is value for money, comfort and touching distance of everything you'd need/want/expect to do in Surin.
Surin Mantion offers decent sized rooms, which are clean and well-maintained.
You'd expect to pay around 5000B/month, or 500-600B per night there.
Double beds ; huge wardrobe space with coathangers, modern USB HD tv, big fridge, balcony, decent bathroom.
Temporary rooms are provided two bottles of Chang water per day, as well as two clean towels.
Reception are very friendly, and usually there will be some English-speaking staff available. The building is home to a number of ex-pats, who teach at local schools, so there'll always be someone who can help out if needs be.
The building is within 7 minutes walking distance to the main surin strip, which plays host to the great number of bars, clubs and restaurants.
It is worthwhile to invest in a motorcycle if you're in Surin for a few days, as nighttime can be a bit of a lottery with stray dogs if you're intent on walking everywhere - check out Surin Motorbike Rental on Facebook.
