Pros:

This is my third visit, and I remain impressed by the outstanding hospitality. The care and warmth of the staff make this resort feel like a home away from home. Overall, it was a perfect staycation! The room, food, and activities were all excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to see a wide variety of vegetarian dishes this time. During my previous stay, there weren’t many vegetarian options, but now they’ve added plenty of delicious choices — a great improvement!

I booked Sanihara Hotel in Lakkidi for a two-day vacation through Booking.com, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a very bad choice.
• Room Condition: The room was smelly and dusty. The bed base was loose, making loud noises whenever we turned while sleeping. The comforter seemed unwashed for months, and the towels were stained and smelled unpleasant.
• Cleanliness: The overall housekeeping was terrible. Cockroaches were seen everywhere, and the bathroom was extremely small, smelly, and poorly maintained—felt no better than an airplane toilet.
• Facilities: The AC was not cooling properly. The breakfast was very limited and not at all impressive. Food ordered from room service was overpriced—almost double compared to other hotels.
• Staff: The only positive side was that the staff were friendly and polite, but that alone cannot make up for such poor standards.

Because of all these issues, I checked out early in the morning after just one night. My vacation experience was spoiled, and I will never stay here again.

👉 If you are planning to visit Wayanad/Lakkidi, I strongly recommend looking for other hotels. Sanihara Hotel does not provide value for money and is not suitable for a comfortable stay.
