A Wonderful Tea Estate Escape with Warm Hospitality
Pros:

Excellent food with great taste and quality. Exceptional hospitality by Sunil. Very friendly and attentive service. Stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful location inside a tea estate, surrounded by greenery.

Cons:

The walls are quite thin, so conversations from neighbouring rooms can be heard clearly. Lack of sound insulation affects privacy.

Good location but not for expats
Pros:

Staff was courteous and owner was responsive to our needs

Cons:

The rooms was super old and desperately needed painting. The food was super unhygienic and I am still on antobiotics due to stomach infection. The walls were so thin between the rooms that loud noises could be easily heard from next room.

One of the best stays I’ve ever had!
Pros:

One of the best stays I’ve ever had! Inchara Homestay truly feels like a home away from home. Located right inside a beautiful coffee plantation, the views are absolutely breathtaking and the peaceful surroundings make the stay even more special. 🌿☕️⛰️

The food was top-notch—everything tasted fresh, delicious, and just like authentic homemade food. The morning walks through the estate were one of my favourite parts, and there’s even a small swing where you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful mountain views.

A small tip: the last 500 meters is an off-road stretch, but just inform the homestay in advance and they will arrange a jeep pickup, so there’s nothing to worry about.

A special mention to Sunil, the caretaker, who was always available, extremely helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. He also guided us with local places and things to explore around Chikmagalur.

Absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend Inchara Homestay to anyone visiting Chikmagalur. 5 stars are not enough! ❤️🌿☕️

wonderful experience. Walking through the coffee estate in the light rain was especially refreshing and memorable. Overall, a lovely stay with great hospitality, delicious food, and a beautiful natural setting.

The staff were very nice and take care of your requirements. The food was good. The location is amazing. Simple infrastructure.. don't expect much

Superb stay.
Pros:

The place is excellent. Best view from your rooms. Food is delicious. Owner Harish was very helpful. Punith was very helpful he took care of our food and other necessary things. Jeep uncle was always ready to drop or pick us up from our car

Pros:

Inchara homestay is one of the best in Chikmagalur, it's right in the middle of huge coffee and pepper plantation, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, the food is very delicious like home food, and the best of all the service. The manager sunil is very supportive, he informed and helped us about many things related to transport options, places to visit, birthday celebrations etc. Overall highly recommended homestay for someone looking for well maintained, inside nature plantation, tasty homely food and great service.
