WOW - the BEST place to stay in Midigama 🫶

I spent a wonderful three weeks staying at Lotus Surf House. The couple who own and run the place are so so kind, helpful and caring. As a solo female traveller, I felt extremely safe staying there. It was lovely to chat with other guests, friendly vibes!

The guesthouse is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and the nearest restaurants and shops are 1 minute walk. Just off the main road, the area is peaceful. The train passes by a few times a day, however not an issue at all.

I stayed a few days in the Queen fan room, the room was simple and spacious. For the majority of my stay, I was in the King Room with AC. This room is brand new, big, balcony, AC & fan and has hot water shower. The room is perfect!

WiFi works well for those who work online. A delicious breakfast is included, just choose that morning out of a few choices.

When I return to Midigama, I will 100% be staying at Lotus Surf House again. Thank you🧡

Staff were so friendly and the breakfast they made each morning was so good.

The property was in a great location, nice and quiet but very close to the beach. The table tennis table was a great hit with my 13yr old son and the breakfast was great. The staff were very lovely!

Very centrally located next to Midigama station. Simple, clean, lovely staff. Relaxing garden, a washing line to hang bathers and a communal ping pong table.

De locatie is top, vlakbij het strand en de hoofdstraat in midigama. Verder is het zitje met de stoelen voor de kamer ook fijn. De kamer was super schoon.

A proximidade da praia, o facto de ter pequeno almoço incluído e todas as opções serem igualmente deliciosas e locais. Ponto positivo também é sem dúvida a mesa de pingpong!

The best place to stay in Midigama 🤍

The location is perfect: close to the center and just two steps from the sea. You can walk everywhere, surf spots are nearby, and everything feels easy and relaxed.

Yelum and his wife are simply the best 🩷
so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They truly make you feel at home. A special mention goes to the breakfast: Fresh, generous, and made with love every morning.

There are different types of rooms you can choose from, and even the most basic option has all the comfort you may need. Clean, cozy, and peaceful.

Nie spaliśmy finalnie w obiekcie, bo z powodu rzekomego błędu booking.com na nasz pokój był overbooking. Dowiedzieliśmy się o tym w dniu przyjazdu. Właściciel oferował pomoc w znalezieniu podobnej jakości miejsc w tej samej cenie. Jeżeli to faktycznie błąd techniczny portalu - to bardzo dobre zachowanie właściciela. Szkoda, że w końcu nie udało się tam spać.

I had a room without ac and it was fine but for a long period stay won’t recommend (since the humidity is high and my staff couldn’t get dry)

Well positioned just 2 minutes walk from main street and beaches. Nice garden sorrounded by nature and animals.

Sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Super Lage, 3min zum Surfspot und schöne Gegend. Leckeres Frühstück und tolle Besitzer!

Very friendly and lovely owner - always helpful, easy going. Yelum can also help you with getting around Sri Lanka. Beautiful garden and 5 min walk to the beach. Close to the train tracks but the train doesn't run very often. We were here 5 years ago and decided to come back this year and will do it again:)

We really liked the nice atmosphere with the garden, we felt like home! Yellum is very friendly and super helpful, he even invited us to a local event, which was a great experience! The food was also very delicious! Thank you so much!!
