De lodge ligt op een prachtige plek in een vallei aan de rivier en op loopafstand van de wijnmakerijen van Areni. De lodge wordt gerund door een Armeens-Australisch koppel dat naast gastvrijheid veel aandacht heeft voor het milieu en dat de inkomsten ook ten goede komen aan de lokale gemeenschap.

Amazing location and felt like home
As soon as we saw the kangaroo sign in the driveway we knew we were in the right place. Fantastic location, very comfortable accommodations and very obliging Australian hospitality. The property is exquisite - couldn’t have asked for anything more.
The location beside the river and the hotel is family business so you feel like your home specially when they guid you in the area around the hotel everything handmade by the owner and the owner and his wife are so kind

Exceptional in every way, especially the hosts, Armine and Len.
Areni Lodge is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in my life. It felt like a dream. Tucked into a quiet, storybook village with the world’s most breathtaking monastery perched on a hill just twenty minutes away, the lodge sits beside a gently winding river and is surrounded by vineyards that seem to breathe history and stillness.
But the real magic is in the details—the hand-built picnic tables, the winding walking paths, the fresh pastries and homemade wine, and the in-progress pergola that somehow already feels like it’s always belonged there. Every inch of the property feels like it was created with love. And strangely, beautifully, it feels like home.
Len, the host, is always building something—always imagining, always creating. His vision extends beyond hospitality into something more generous and rare. There’s a small world here that he’s carefully curating for children and families, a dreamscape in progress.
The rooms are spacious and warmly designed, each with a wide balcony overlooking the river and the ancient monastery above—a sentinel that’s watched over the valley for centuries.
We shared beautiful conversations. I’ll carry those with me. I’ll carry the stillness of the hill, the taste of the wine, and the feeling of belonging.

The location, the service, the hosts were all amazing! The hotel grounds were interesting, with many wonderful details. My daughter didn’t want to leave! Definitely will return for a longer stay!
Everything was absolutely great!
The owners, Len and Armina are an Australian-Armenian couple. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Armenia in general and the local highlights in particular. Communication is super easy in perfect English, which is a rarity in Armenia. The hotel is a home from home, in a garden next to a river with magnificent views of the magnificent mountains. I stayed at the Areni Lodge for three nights and highly recommend it.

Magical oasis in a wonderful country. The owners made us feal really welcome and gave us an amazing tour of the property and some really great and interesting conversations. The beds were super comfortable and we slept really great. You can really feel the energy from the origin of human civilisation in this part of the world. Creates a special energy and calmness.
Everythings great about this lodge. Lovely location next to a big mountain and a river. Owner was very helpfull and informative about the area. Breakfast was great too. I would love to visit again. And its a short drive to Noravank monastery and Areni cave.
