Everything. A nice 15-20 min walk to town with different routes to take. The room was amazing. Very peaceful. Cathy the owner was so so nice, the dogs (7 if them) great. Felt very comfortable/welcome.

The location was excellent. 15 min walk from city centre. Bus route outside the door. Bus/ train located nearby also. Very convenient. The host was warm and welcoming and assisted me when I required guidance. Car parking in a beautiful garden setting.

I absolutely loved my time staying at Cathy's place! I received a warm welcome despite my late evening arrival and felt at home right away. The room was spacious and I appreciated having my own entrance to the house. The bathroom was very clean and everything worked as expected. Cathy was helpful in providing suggestions for what to do and where to go in town, and of course all the dogs were a delightful added bonus. Cathy clearly loves to host and I was so grateful to have a homestay experience in Ireland; it was truly special and I would love to come back again.

Cathy was an amazing host! Lovely, friendly, and was always willing to put on the kettle. The dogs are very friendly, if a bit excitable. I felt very welcomed, had my own space when I needed it, and was conveniently close to the city but far away enough for quieter nights.

Cathy was a wonderful host and the room was warm and cozy. She went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable and welcome. She had great advice for things to do and places to eat during my stay.

Location was great - easily accessible to town centre on foot. Friendly host and dogs and convenient separate entrance to room. Kitchen available for use with storage in fridge if required with access to the kitchen and tea/coffee available 24 hours.

Die Unterkunft wird sehr familiär geführt. Die Gastgeberin ist unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit – man spürt sofort, dass sie ein großes Herz hat, besonders für Hunde, die sie aus dem Tierheim rettet. Dadurch kann es manchmal etwas hellhörig sein, aber wer Hunde mag, wird das kaum als störend empfinden. Wir hatten sehr nette Gespräche bei einer Tasse Tee und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. 😊
Wir werden sie auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen!

Our host Cathy was fantastic. Our trip started out very stressful with major flight issues. We even lost a day of our trip. As soon as we walked in her door, Cathy made it her mission to turn things around. We discovered we had "lost" hubby's CPAP mask. Cathy grabbed her phone and before we could blink, it was "sorted" as they say in Ireland and we had a plan to get a replacement. She had a list of places we could eat and places we might want to visit. Our room had everything we needed. The bathroom was down the hall which suited us perfectly. Cathy was ready with directions and advice as needed. We had a wonderful time visiting over tea with her. Cathy and her entourage of rescue dogs made us feel right at home and part of her family. They energetically greeted us each time we returned from an outing and put a smile on our faces.

Gemütliches Zimmer mit eigenem Zugang. Und mit Familienanschluss. Sehr nette Vermieterin, wir hatten keinerlei Probleme. Mit den Hunden die im Haushalt leben sind wir auch super zurechtgekommen, uns hat es sehr gefallen, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.👍👍👍❣️

Cathy est très accueillante et sympathique. Elle répond à nos questions sur la ville. Les chiens sont adorables juste le temps de nous connaître. Cathy propose de faire le café le matin. Il y a un bus devant la maison qui nous emmène au centre.

It's not far to walk into the centre of Kilkenny. I used taxis a few times to return to the accommodation and they were not expensive for the short distance.
This is a very friendly place. Cathy has some rescue dogs and it was lovely sitting in the kitchen having a cuppa tea with my host and having a dog put his head on my lap. This place felt very homely, like I was staying with a friend that I just hadn't met before. Some mornings I'd have a dog waiting for me at my bedroom door!
The house has big dense trees in front of it and that made for a very quiet peaceful night's sleep.
The room was very large and the bed supremely comfortable.

Cathy was an amazing host. We loved having conversations with her over a cup of tea and being surrounded by cute puppies. The bed was super comfy and we slept like a rock. The bathroom (and bedroom) are spotless. The location is great as well, very walkable. We very much enjoyed our time with Cathy :)

Cathy is the most wonderful host, and welcomed us into her beautiful home.
From the minute we arrived, with loads of cuddles from all the fur babies to many a cups of tea in the cosy kitchen in front of the aga.
The King size bed was comfy and room tastefully decorated.
The home was spotlessly clean.
Cathy's home is just a short walk to all the beautiful sights of Kilkenny.
Secure parking in the yard, was great.
