NN Beach Resort Nilaveli

The room lacked anywhere to unpack clothes. Breakfast was not the best.

Servizio lavanderia costosissimo e inefficiente (vestiti ancora maleodoranti e alcuni sporchi).
Due stanze su tre sprovviste di mini frigo e con odori sgradevoli. In generale letti corti ma comodi, pochi piani di appoggio, biancheria sporca.
All’arrivo tantissimi insetti.
Colazione essenziale , poco varia (variabile solo per il tipo di cottura delle uova).
Nel complesso struttura carina, confortevole e accettabile se non fosse per il prezzo elevato .

The breakfast was pricey for the area and limited options.
There was no seating/lounging options around the pool.
Lack of storage and seating in the bedroom.
Need cash for ALL places nearby.

Le restaurant et le bar de l’hôtel étaient chers comparés à d’autres, situé relativement loin d’Uppuveli qui était plus animée

the room given to us was probably the oldest in the hotel. entrance door did not shut properly, no table in the room, there was no kettle or any complementary tea or coffee available in the room, minimum expected for a "resort". it was how most expensive stay in sri lanka and also the worst. beach and good wheather save the day

The food is okay but not all that great (the Biryani is an exception!). The room itself is less exciting: some of the items listed in Bookings for the rooms were not there, and the water in the shower never got hot (even though it was very hot outside so it wasn't much of an issue).

Wir hatten als Familie zwei von den Luxuszimmern gebucht. In einem davon war die Duschbrause ziemlich lose, Wasser lief aus einem Loch an der Wand, das schon Kalkablagerungen hatte. Es war also nicht gerade neu. Es gab Ungeziefer. Aus dem einen Duschkopf kamen nur ein paar Strahlen kreuz und quwer, erst nachdem ich ihm vom Kalk befreit hatte, war er nutzbar. Von den Vorgängern waren noch verschmierte Zahnpastareste zu finden. Wir blieben 5 Nächte, in dieser Zeit wurde nicht ein Mal geputzt, Müll geleert, Toilettenpapier aufgefüllt oder Handtücher getauscht. Eines der Zimmer hatte einen Kühlschrank, das andere nicht.
Das Essen im Restaurant ist bestenfalls ok, die Tassen beim Frühstück hatten immer alte Teeränder.
Es gibt wirklich, wirklich viele Raben. Wir lieben Tiere, deswegen haben sie uns an sich nicht gestört. Aber sie baden ausdauernd im Babyplanschbecken und verschmutzen mit ihrem Kot häufig Handtücher und Liegestühle. Ich persönlich hätte gesundheitliche Bedenken, ein Baby in diesen Pool zu lassen.

pokój był bardzo mały, nie mieliśmy nawet miejsca żeby za bardzo rozłożyć bagaże, wchodziły nam jaszczurki do pokoju więc nie było raczej bardzo szczelnie.

Ci sono effettivamente molti corvi nel giardino che si bagnano in piscina e rubano il cibo incustodito, d’altronde fa parte della natura e della fauna locale. Così come ci sono molte mosche nell’area ristorante. La colazione è tutte le mattine la stessa, ma abbastanza buona. La stanza era sufficientemente pulita, non è previsto che venga pulita durante il soggiorno.

Non saprei da dove cominciare. A primo impatto ci è sembrato di essere ovunque tranne che in Sri Lanka, per l’umanità dimostrata da buona parte del personale. Menzione d’onore al ragazzo della reception e ai due giovani camerieri, gentilissimi e disponibilissimi; per il resto, stendiamo un velo pietoso.

Il “responsabile” ci ha subito messo in guardia dalla presunta pericolosità di uscire dalla struttura per mangiare, cosa assolutamente falsa (e guarda caso i pasti esterni non erano inclusi). Ovviamente non gli abbiamo dato ascolto: siamo usciti tutte le sere e siamo ancora vivi 🤣.

La struttura è infestata dai corvi, che rendono la piscina praticamente inutilizzabile, non ci sono sdraio mentre i lettini in spiaggia non sono sufficienti per tutti. Le camere, inoltre, non sono mai state rifatte in tre notti: niente cambio asciugamani, solo i teli mare su richiesta.

Ciliegina sulla torta: dopo aver pagato in contanti alcuni pasti in anticipo, al check-out ci siamo ritrovati gli stessi importi nuovamente addebitati. Per fortuna avevo fotografato ricevuta e contanti, altrimenti chissà. Alla fine l’errore era loro, ma non senza una bella discussione.

Considerando gli 80 € a notte con sola colazione inclusa, ci aspettavamo decisamente un altro livello di servizio. Forse a qualcuno sfugge che le persone lavorano tutto l’anno e quelle poche settimane di ferie vorrebbero semplicemente trascorrerle serenamente.

Overpriced. Se la suonano e se la cantano per la spiaggia a 20 metri.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the beach. But don’t be fooled. This probably isn’t the place you’re looking for.

In our experience, things start going wrong as soon as you check in. Someone else posted a review earlier that sums it up perfectly: checking in and welcoming guests is seen as an annoying interruption to an undisturbed day. The hotel is also dingy and poorly maintained.

We had booked a family room, but the bathroom ceiling was at my hip level (really! And I’m 1 meter 90) when viewed from the room. You literally had to crawl to get inside. With a lot of effort, we managed to get another room (for an extra charge!) where the bathroom had three showers—but one had scalding water, one didn’t work, and the third one basically just sprayed into the toilet.

If you happen to really love crows that, starting around 4:00 p.m., try to grab just about everything that belongs to you or try to attack you—and then start screeching at 5:00 a.m., waking you up—then this is definitely the place for you.

But if you’re looking for a truly pleasant stay during your vacation in this beautiful country, look for somewhere else. I’m giving this hotel one star because I can’t give it any less.

P.S.: We’re still owed money by this hotel; they haven’t honored the agreements they made in that regard either.

Cleanliness wasn’t very high, the sheets weren’t clean, bugs on the pillow and in the bathroom, no safe in room

Der Empfang war wenig freundlich, man fühlte sich nicht wirklich willkommen. Die Rezeption hat schon bessere Tage gesehen, das Sofa dort war komplett fleckig. Unser Dreibettzimmer stank nach Abfluss – zum Glück konnten wir nach einer Nacht das Zimmer wechseln, allerdings erst nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage. Proaktivität darf man hier generell nicht erwarten. Auf unsere Nachfrage bezüglich einer Kompensation hieß es, das müsse mit dem Manager besprochen werden – bei der Abreise wusste die Rezeption davon dann aber nichts mehr. Insgesamt eher enttäuschend.

Auch das Frühstück war anfangs wenig strukturiert: Zuerst bekommt man das Omelett, aber der Toast fehlt noch. Wenig Aufmerksamkeit des Personals – der Instantkaffee wurde beispielsweise nur nach Nachfrage aufgefüllt.

Extrem viele Raben, die den ganzen Tag über Lärm machen – überraschenderweise gewöhnt man sich nach etwa drei Tagen aber daran.

Zu wenige Liegen am Strand – wer etwas später frühstückt, findet meist keine mehr frei. Am Pool gibt es gar keine Liegen, nur Stühle, und davon auch zu wenige. Diese sind zudem leider oft von den Raben verkotet.

Der Zimmerservice erfolgt nur auf Nachfrage. WLAN gibt es nur an der Rezeption und im vorderen Bereich am Pool, im Zimmer selbst gar nicht – und auch die Mobilfunkverbindung ist schlecht.

Wir hatten zwar eines der günstigsten Zimmer, aber ein kleiner Kühlschrank für Getränke wäre noch super.
