Budget-friendly hotel, safe, and really nice staff.
The people who run it are friendly and it's well located if you want to be in the center near the beach.
The room was so hot and stuffy that we had to leave a day early (non-refundable). There was a ceiling fan over one bed but we had to borrow another for the other bed. Even with these fans the heat was so impressive that we couldn't sleep so we couldn't stay for the whole reservation. The rooms were also not very well appointed. There are zero "frills", like no glasses in the bathroom, very ragged sheets, holes in the curtains. The shower is a mere trickle, not nearly sufficient Given how hot the rooms are. Given what's on offer, the place is far too expensive.
Nice atmosphere, bright colors
Lots of steps.
Lovely owner and his wife, very friendly cats, huge open spaces in the complex, a lot had cover and seats, with a fridge you can use in the kitchen.
Very close to the beach and bars
Welcome from the owners who were very kind and helpful. Excellent Internet connection as well with good kitchen facilities.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Puerto Escondido, slightly removed from the main street but there was a lot of music, partying next door and on the street below over the two weekend nights that we were there. Therefore, we did not get much sleep.
The grounds are amazing and tranquil right in the heart of the old downtown. Lovely finds
Beautiful property with very kind owners. They just took over the property so some minor tweaks needed attention, regardless it was overall lovely. Im assuming all rooms have different advantages and disadvantages being located in different parts of the property; mine was super quiet and the wifi worked well for my job.
lovely hotel and really lovely owners who really want their guests to have a great time. highly recommended.
nothing
The family working there is fantastic and so helpful and kind. They are working hard to make it even better.
It is really nice that there is kitchen facilities available with a refrigerator.
There are sitting area available outside.
It is really close to the main shopping/beach street with supermarkets, restaurants, tour companies and shops….bur this also gives some noise in the evening. But we had a room where it wasn’t a problem.
It is in walking distance from the big bus station and main street with all the transportation options.
It for really warm during the night in the room and the fan in the ceiling wasn’t enough.
Noise during the night from the main street.
Some hammocks hanging around could be really nice.
Stunning piece of property built by an Italian family long ago.
This is a fairly new hotel, and as such you can expect warmth and a great conversation from the owners.
It is super close to the beach and a plethora of stores.
Room is nice and big enough, and as expected from Puerto Escondido it is hot both indoors and outdoors. Once you turn the fan inside the room you should be fine.
Outside the rooms they have a really beautiful patio and places to sit with a very nice garden, rooms upstairs have view to the pacific ocean. In general it's a very chill place, wish I could stay longer.
I will definitely come back when visiting Puerto Escondido.
I liked everything - There is nothing I didn't like.
Just as a note for people coming with car: On the evenings there is a street market 50m from the hotel, so the street (Av. Alfonso Perez Gasga) is closed to cars briefly for the evening. Be aware that if traveling by car it's best to leave your car in the back entrance of the hotel. Just ask the hotel staff.
