We got in very late (11:00 pm) so no attendant. Very dark too. The text instructions for finding our room were confusing as we went to the clubhouse, code didn’t work and then went to blue door. But we loved the room and location.

We had a beautiful, ocean view room that was very clean and comfortable. We were warned about the ongoing construction/renovation - but this activity really did not bother us at all. The staff that we met were fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate us including allowing us a late check out. Great location, close to everything if you are okay walking. Pictures reflect reality, but be aware, they do not have a bar. The upstairs outdoor area is beautiful - but it's up to you to provide the beverages/books or whatever you please. We would stay here again if visiting Rockport in the future.

Other than location, this was a particularly unsatisfactory accommodation. No staff, poor instructions, coffee maker, but no cups; clogged bathroom sink. Pretty location. That’s it.

The view was fantastic - getting to the room was challenging due to small staircases.
We have been made aware of that (and the noise due to ongoing construction on the property) only after our booking.
The location is, however, very nice and close to a public beach, restaurants and shopping.

Very clean accommodations, comfortable king bed, with great water views. Step from room to large deck overlooking center beach and easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping at Bearskin Neck. While Rockport is a destination resort town, it becomes very quiet in the evening but close to Gloucester where many entertainment venues are available.

The place was nice all redone and new. And parts were still under construction. But the only problem we encountered was the check in process. We could not find anyone when trying to get our room or code to get in. and email check in time and texted time were different times. Other then that all good

The porch is not your own so to see the " ocean view" , you have to look at random strangers sitting in the " public " porch for 3 rooms! If we don't want people looking in to our bedroom, we need to close the blinds- no more ocean view!! A lady was on the porch until 10pm - basically outside our window! Pictures should indicate this!

When I arrived at the property, the screen door to my room was locked. Thankfully someone helped me, but I didn't see anyone else. Once I got into the room, it had been freshly painted, which looked great, but the smell of fresh paint was absolutely overpowering. It was hard to sleep in the room even with the window open and the fan going. It should have been aired out before guests arrived. The location was great, but I wasn't crazy about having to walk to my car. I don't know what can be done about that because parking in Rockport is difficult. I enjoyed the deck outside my room very much. Overall it was an okay experience but pricey for what I got. Breakfast would have been nice to have been included.

I was hesitant after reading some of the previous complaints, but booked The Cove on a whim. I absolutely LOVED my stay. It was in a quite, safe neighborhood and we were able to walk anywhere that we needed to go! The view of the beach across the street was wonderful and we loved that we could open the windows and catch the ocean breeze. We felt safe sleeping with the windows open and were never awakened by other guests or traffic noises.
Complaints that I reviewed said that they had a difficult time finding the entrance: We walked (2 older women) with ease to the place in the early evening from the train station and found our entrance with ease.
Another complaint - this is a self-check in facility. I loved that I didn't have to bother with anyone and the instructions were very easy to follow! I am technically challenged and had NO issues.
Unexpected bonus - there is a filtered water refill in the downstairs "club house'. We also had a wonderful selection of simple breakfast come and go items that worked great for grabbing and eating lunch later at a restaurant. We actually appreciated the fact that this was a sleepy town as things do close relatively early. We found it refreshing and enjoyed retiring early so that we were refreshed to walk again in the a.m. The shower was great too!
The only con: I thought that there would be a couch that could be made into a bed but it was just a futon.

Wonderful view of the cove and the beach is right across the street. They even have beach chairs and a pack-n-play in the closet. They also have t-shirts for sale in the club house that are reasonably priced and super soft and comfortable. We bought 3 :-) !!!!! The beds were sooooooo comfortable! There’s a mini fridge, microwave, and single cup Keurig for coffee and tea. We enjoyed every minute being there that we booked another night on our way back down the coast. You can’t go wrong choosing this place! It’s also conveniently located about 25-30 minutes to Salem.

Such a great location! Can walk beach right across the street! Very scenic coastal views here!

Self service hotel so you check yourself into your own room. Very clean, nicely decorated and right on the water.

Beautiful location right on a cove. I got a suite of two rooms with three beds much more than I needed but windows on two sides looking out at the beach and that the Botanical Garden right next to it. Didn't like that there was no breakfast and that it was boutique-style. I was able to walk from the train station
