The place had character.

Cons:

We booked and paid six weeks before arriving to this completely deserted outback pub. Nobody there. Closed for Boxing Day and no notification. We called several phone numbers but only got one answer machine. Left two messages with the owner who never responded.

Perfect stop in accommodation for a great price!
Pros:

Zero complaints, very reasonable price, later arrival time was no worries. Convenient location. The room was very comfortable and tidy and all amenities were clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was unreal!!!

It gave us a roof to sleep under and Thankyou to the owner for being so friendly.
Pros:

The property is run down and not maintained. It was very dirty and we were bitten by mosquitos at night. The pillows were dirty and had yellow sweat marks on them. The towels and sheets were stained. The balcony doors from the room did not lock.
The owner was very friendly and warm, unfortunately the hotel was below standard in everything else.

I liked the quirky room at the Koorawatha Hotel — complete with its expansive veranda. The food was good, and the atmosphere friendly, with people gathered around a table, and having a playful riffle over the classic steak tray. I enjoyed hearing the story about Ben Hall and walking past the abandoned railway station and the old water tank for the steam trains — touches that gave the town not only mystery and history, but also a sense of charm and character.

Cons:

The steps to go upstairs could be hard for some people, and in the early morning the veranda got a bit noisy with people talking loud.
