Not worth the money , with that experience .

Cons:

On 2nd night , some of guests got out of control , fighting and banging on our door . Wife very scared . No staff appeared to do anything out it . It went on for hours

Pros:

The Staff were extremely helpful. The staff were friendly & courteous & made us feel very welcome.

Cons:

The bathroom was a bit run down. Their was no iron or ironing board. I couldn't put water in the kettle.

Close to the town centre, easy to find and was what we needed for our trip

It was close to exactly what we needed to do

Cons:

We were woken at 7:30am in the morning by staff talking outside on the final day of our stay, but as we wanted to stay in asleep till at least 8:45am when then proceeded to get up and start our day due to the noise, the beds did squeak when turning and woke a few times to that and the fitted electric blanket cord at the top of the blanket was painful when rolling onto it as it was at shoulder height

Pros:

Good basic accommodation when the town was busy for the aircraft display. Walking distance to good breakfast and dinner options.

Cons:

Check in was just at the bar of the hotel’s pub. All went well, but was just a bit surprising wheeling our suitcases through the bar area!

Pros:

Firstly this is an old pub, built mid 1800's so don't expect resort style accommodation. Having said that all staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable and, in style with the age of the pub, it had a great verandah overlooking the street.

Cons:

Nothing. It was as per my expectations.

Pros:

We liked the lively atmosphere in the bar, and the attached Chinese restaurant was fine for an evening meal. This is very much a simple country hotel, clearly much liked by the locals. Happy Hour was very welcome after a long drive, and there was a good atmosphere in the bar.

Cons:

There had been some sort of mis-communication between Booking.com and the Shamrock. My booking clearly stated it was for two rooms in the main building, with access to a verandah overlooking the road. The Shamrock had no knowledge of this and we were instead put in the 'motel' rooms to the rear. They were fine, if simply furnished. The Friday night music, although loud and only a few yards from our rooms, did not disturb our sleep - perhaps due to the Happy Hour earlier!

Pros:

Absolutely disgusting carpets. Torn and repatched. No microwave, fridge in the room. 1 small circular table which couldn't accommodate for more than 2 people while eating. Being 4 bed room, it was not sufficient. Staff was arrogant and waved the hand when I mentioned about my concerns.
Not worth the price being charged.
