Location, room
Dining room was closed. No excuses for that
Centrally located, great decor matching the art deco style. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Guest areas were generous.
Room facilities were excellent.
Our room was lovely, but quite small, and there was no window to open or look out of, so felt a little claustrophobic for us. Others may call it cosy. Be aware the bar and restaurant are not always open so check on booking if staying Sunday’s and Monday’s.
Always feel welcome and convenient!

I was charged for rooms additional to my room and was reimbursed three days later
Love the decor and architecture.
Our room was very clean and tidy.
The restaurant was great and the meals are very tasty!

What an amazing renovation the owners have carried out to this lovely piece of history. The attention to detail is amazing. A labour of love and credit to them.
If it was my property I would ensure a greater attention to detail with the cleaning of the rooms. Just not qyute what it deserves.
Absolutely stunning 1920s Art Deco boutique hotel full of charm and elegance. The food was incredible, service was warm, and the location perfect. I loved every minute and would highly recommend it—especially for a romantic stay with someone special.
Amazing hotel and extremely lovely staff member greeted is

Location was great
Would be nice if staff would show you to your room.
Parking very limited
Expensive minibar options ($5 for a kitkat)
Wonderfully renovated art deco hotel. Great room decor. Great food in restaurant which was also good value.
We would like to have had greater variety / layers of bed coverings so that we could adjust throughout the night.
Beautiful room - superbly presented - very clean. The beds were so comfortable, great pillows. Conveniently located in the heart of town good dining options a pity the Garden Bar was not open at the time of our visit.
Would have loved to try the pizza in the Garden Bar.
The property was clean, mini bar fully stocked and prices were very reasonable. Beds were comfortable and the size of the room was great, very roomy! The breakfast that was included was decent, my husband got bacon eggs and hash browns that were made to order. You can order many other things if you wanted too that would make up a full breakfast, and I chose scrambled eggs on toast. The staff at breakfast and the reception were lovely.
The location was central but the entrance was in a small side ally. The hotel is in a mall and wasn’t accessible to pull up by car, you have to park and walk in. Once at reception the lady advised there was a small car park at rear. I wasn’t aware that the bar and dining area would be closed for dinner and drinks on Sundays having booked last minute on the road so that was a disappointment after driving all day and wanting dinner at our hotel. After finding another dinner place we returned to the hotel in the dark and realised that one of the main ally way lights right out the front of the entrance wasn’t working, making it dim and a little scary. The reception had since closed and the lights in the lobby and staircase had also been switched off or had blown and being a historical building it was creepy! I had to turn on my phone torch and my 7 year old son was petrified. Overall it was a nice stay, a bit more attention to detail and it would have been wonderful.
The hotel was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and perfectly located in town.
Due to heritage compliance, the windows in the guest rooms were original glass and therefore were unable to be opened for fresh air. It was also impossible to see through them, so no view. This was the only negative. I would stay at Tattersalls Hotel again.
