Comfortable and good location, minimal facilities.

Location was great, close to everything

Cons:

No toaster or crockery other than cups, so difficult to make breakfast, no other breakfast options available. No laundry. Very noisy on the last night until late, due to a function at the connected pub, and access to parking outside room blocked by other patrons

Cock a hoop at Cockatoo!!
Pros:

The CCHM is such a great experience in a true outback town. Sure, it’s pretty basic, few frills, but damn it’s atmospheric and delivers the experience you’re looking for. Breakfast was a good value extra, cooked personally by the owner. The adjacent bar/restaurant was great too. My time at CCHM will live long in the memory.

Calibrate your expectations appropriately and you’ll be fine.
