There were windows that did not have curtains, the light from the walkway outside the back of the room lit the room up like it was daylight and was hard to sleep. The blinds on the other side of the room did not block light either. Could not sleep becasue of the amount of light in the room.

The rear windows have lace curtains, and with a light right outside the window it was like daytime all night. The front door kept banging in the wing, so I had to put my esky behind it to stop the noise. Disappointed that there was no cutlery or microwave oven in the room. I visit laurieton regularly and I usually stay in a motel at North haven and their rooms have everything you need for a stay and they don't cost as much as here.

The curtain or blinds over the back door were not yet installed and it was very bright in that area. Also the Venetian blinds didn’t block the light from the car park.
Some fresh linens would really put the cherry on top of this property!

The water wasn’t working for the first 24 hours. There were tradies renovating other rooms/on the roof. They needed access to our room to run cables. All of this with now pre-warning from the venue. We were offered a complimentary drink after complaining. But honestly, the rate should have been lower…

Didnt "not like" anything but some suggestions. As mentioned, freshly renovated. We even suspect it may have been finished the morning we arrived as there was builders dust on the floor and tape on the bathroom mirror helping support it until the wall glue went off. The new bed was on castors on a newly laid faux timber floor so when sitting up in bed, the bed rolled away. Suggest castor cups to prevent that. The beautifully renovated bathroom had no shelf to hold a toiletries bag. The new bathroom door is likely to swell very quickly from the splashed water and condensation from the shower - perhaps inexpensive shower wall lining from bunnings might prevent that. Somewhere to put the electric jug near a power point? Maybe a shelf over the bar fridge and a fixed power board rather than an extension cord on the floor? We were only there for an overnight stay so our room was designed for that - rooms 1 and 2 only have a bed and a bathroom. If you have a choice, book room 1 as you have an outdoor covered area overlooking a carpark to use. Room 2 has no outdoor area and looks at a wall 1 metre (across a common walkway) from the window so could be claustrophobic for some. Rooms 3 to 8 are double sized and still under renovation so not sure of final layout but suspect may have a small lounge/dining area (perhaps sofabed??) But all have the outdoor area.
