Wonderful character building refurbished and great team of staff
Pros:

Right in middle of town. Lovely clean room and great access to bar and restaurant

Great pub, shame the kitchen has slipped
Pros:

I stay here frequently, always great staff, lovely accoms and good parking.

Cons:

The kitchen really missed a beat this time, the food is usually 10/10 but I really didn't enjoy any of the meals I go this time round.

Stay spoilt by very loud external air con units
Pros:

Nice Pub with rooms in Murwillumbah. Initially happy with our room. It was clean and had everything for a short stay. The Impy pub served good but expensive beer. The meals served were also good.

Cons:

Stayed in room 22 at the back of the Hotel. Very noisy due to Hotel residents using the steel back steps/fire escape to access the hotel from the car park. Even worse was the incessant humming coming from the external air con units positioned outside the rooms at the back. I counted ten units spaced across the back. I thought it was ominous when I found ear plugs on the bed side table. Oddly enough there was only one pair for two of us. In the end I slept with my noise cancelling headphones on. I tried to speak to the reception Guy, but he was never around. Once Guests are checked in he can disappear.

Lovely place, tastefully decorated in a great location with excellent food
Pros:

Lovely Art Deco furnishings, with excellent,roomy bathrooms. I've stayed twice and each room was clean and comfortable.
The bistro downstairs has good food - especially the eggplant parmy.

Cons:

There are no lifts, so luggage has to be hauled upstairs.
It can get noisy - but then it is a pub. The host thoughtfully provided earplugs and most noise was over by 11:30pm

Perfect one night stay as I was travelling through. Bathroom was clean and the modern design felt nice.
Pros:

Modern upgrades look great. Very clean.

Cons:

Outside of the downstairs bar, the foot path smelt like urine. It needs a good pressure wash.

Pros:

A couple of plug sockets somewhere near the bed would be good The only ones available we're in the other side of the room. Staff were friendly, room was newly decorated and clean, bar food was good.
