Categories

Cleanliness
7.5
Mixed signals: many guests report clean rooms and beds, but several call out dirty floors, cigarette butts and areas needing maintenance.
Service
8.5
Generally positive: multiple mentions of friendly, helpful front‑desk staff and good service, though isolated incidents (early knock, payment/check‑in refusal) lowered some experiences.
Location
8
Favourable: guests note easy access, close to amenities and a safe area for this small town; limited dining options due to town size.
Room Quality
7
Mixed: comfortable beds and acceptable rooms for many, but several reports of outdated, smelly rooms and maintenance overdue.
Amenities
5.8
Weak: pool repeatedly reported closed/out of service, no on‑site gym, limited/absent hot tub and other amenity shortfalls.
Value for Money
7.5
Mixed-to-positive: some guests felt the price was fair given cleanliness and service; others felt repairs and breakfast shortcomings reduced value.
Food and Beverage
5.7
Poor: many comments about disappointing breakfast (no hot items, no coffee/plates, poorly stocked) and below expectations.
Overall Experience
7.6
Moderate: several guests would stay again and praised staff and beds, but recurring amenity and maintenance issues led others to say the stay fell below brand expectations.

Pros:

Needs work, the floors are disgusting and dirty in the room.

The person working the front desk persistently knocked on our door at 6AM waking our entire family up with a "phone call" that was not for our room.

Pool will never be open again, they have it all closed down.

Pros:

I lost my wallet/credit card on the way there and they would not let me check in. They said my credit card declined but right after i left the property my card was charged more than the rate i was supposed to pay from expedia. I was hoping hotels would have some kind of grace with things like this happen. I was stuck sleeping in my car. I will never book with the Super 8 Meadow Lake SK again.
