Das Morgenessen dürfte etwas umfangreicher sein.

Die Lage und das Ambiente des Hotels sind wunderschön. Apéro und Frühstück unter den Platanen auf der grossen Gartenterrasse waren unser Highlight.
Eine kleine Anregung: Frühstückt man auf der Gartenterrasse, wäre es angenehm, wenn Tabletts zur Verfügung stünden . Man könnte so Getränke, Müesli, Teller, Brot, Käse etc auf ein Mal nach draussen tragen.
Die Lage im Grünen hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
Die Terrasse hat einen atemberaubenden Ausblick.
Das Gebäude ist stilvoll renoviert worden, sehr ansprechendes Design und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Wenn die Bar nicht geöffnet hat, kann man auf der Terrasse auch nicht sitzen um zu Verweilen. Montag und Dienstag ist die Bar geschlossen, deshalb an diesen 2 Tagen kommt man am Abend nicht auf die Terrasse, was sehr schade war an diesen warmen Sommerabenden.
Es gab viele Insekten und Spinnweben im Zimmer inklusive toten Frosch vor der Badezimmertüre.
Beim Frühstück: Der Wurst-Käse-Teller war nach 2 Stunden draussen stehen nicht mehr so ansehnlich. Sollte gekühlt werden.
Das Zimmer war sehr hellhörig. Im Treppenhaus konnte man die anderen Personen so gut hören, als würden Sie im Zimmer stehen. Die Haustüre viel sehr laut ins Schloss, was wir bei jedem Gast gehört haben.
Romantic
Äußert freundlicher Empfang und Betreuung. Super Frühstück mit grandiosem Blick im Schloss. Abendessen unten im Storchen (gehört dazu) erstklassik und ein Fest für Weingenießer.
Wohnungen im Nebengebäude. Wir waren begeistert.
Zimmerverdunklung ok, kein Schrank, nur ein Stuhl. Bad köein, aber pfiffig. Saunacontainer originell und Aussicht schön, aber Konzept nicht durchdacht. Wo Kleidung, Bademantel ablegen bei Regen etc.? Keine extra Handtücher, besser mitbringen
Das ganze Ambiente ist aussergewöhnlich. Mit viel Style umgebaut - alt und neu gekonnt kombiniert. Ein echtes Bijou!
Das Hauptgebäude (Schloss) war durch eine Hochzeit belegt. Gerne wären wir nach der spätabendlichen Rückkehr noch auf einen Drink in die Grüne Bar und die Schlossterrasse. War leider nicht möglich.
Ein Preisnachlass wäre unter diesen Umständen angezeigt gewesen. Darum 2 Punkte minus.
Das Hotel ist visuell sehr ansprechend, das Personal war grosszügig und ging auf unsere Wünsche ein. Ausserdem war das Essen im Hotel Storchen herausragend.
This castle hotel is unique for its location, history and panoramic views of the village of schlossrued on the terrace. View was amazing on our second day when the sun was shining.
The room was clean and spacious and had all the facilities we needed for our 2 nights stay and some of the original stone wall features.
All the staff were wonderful, helpful and very friendly.
Breakfast was continental with boiled or scrambled eggs herbs on request and eat as much as you like. Tea/coffee/juices were very plentiful.
Lovely little bar with comfy seating. Water provided in rooms each day. A fridge with soft drinks and snacks in the communal room which you can purchase and charge to room.
We really loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. I would recommend this hotel highly as the old castle and rooms have been restored and renovated beautifully.

Cadre et bâtiment exceptionnels
The Schloss is located in a beautiful area with rolling hills around and views in all directions. The property itself is interesting. The bar area is quirky and comfortable and the terrace is lovely (sadly we didn’t have the weather to properly enjoy it - although blankets are provided and we sat out for a while). The bar was well stocked and served snacks. We were in the annexe, which possibly was in a previous life the kitchen. We’d requested a room on a lower floor as had read comments regarding narrow staircases etc and we were travelling with our dog. This was met well with a room on the ground floor. We paid for a larger room and the additional space was good but we could not really use it as it was under a massive chimney, very picturesque and quaint but had to be careful not to bump our heads (failed several times). There were some woods adjacent to the property where we could let our dog run, all uphill from the property and quite small overall but we were able to have reasonable walks.
We had a good stay and enjoyed our time. We did not realise, I can’t see it anywhere in Booking.com, that the bar and restaurant are both closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We arrived on a Tuesday and were looking forward to enjoying spending time in the historic building but that was not possible and we had to drive out to get something to eat, the hotel gave us a recommendation which was fab (in Schoftland, called Schlossgarten I think). The breakfast was adequate for what we wanted with options of freshly cooked eggs which were lovely. We’ve definitely had more selection at less expensive hotels. The staff we met were helpful and pleasant, there seemed to be a lack of sufficient staff though esp in the evening. We waited 15-20 minutes at bar with no one anywhere to be seen in. At or reception. It was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip and not the best one.
Idéalement placé, surplombant le village est les environs. Les chambres ont été rénovées et transformées avec beaucoup de gout et caractère. L'espace à disposition à l'extérieur et intérieur est très appréciable. Les jardins sont jolis, il y a un local fermé pour les vélos.
Petit déjeuner servi en parti à mesure et sur demande (viande, fromage et oeufs) pour éviter les pertes, ce qui est très bien. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut et les produits sont frais.
