Please note:

- In winter, Berghaus Bort is only reachable by cable car. The last cable car leaves at 15:45. Public parking is available in the valley, and charges may apply.

- In summer, Berghaus Bort can be accessed by car, preferably with a four-wheel drive, via a narrow mountain road. Free private parking is available on site.

- Pets are allowed only in the rooms.

- WiFi is available free of charge for one device per room.

Pros:

the hotel is terrible. at the foot of the mountain 300 m away we got stuck on the road, rolled down, almost fell off a cliff. the staff offered to call a tow truck for 600 francs. no one helped, did not come out with a shovel to remove a small section of snow, did not come with a tractor or did not come out to help in any way. you wrote to the post office that you cannot go there by car, there were no signs on the road, you can only get there by lift and only until 16:30. the hotel did not cancel the reservation upon request and took the money for 2 nights! I consider this to be terrible service and deception

Cons:

Be careful when you book. After the cable car stop working there is no way you can get to the hotel in winter. Even though it is said car parking etc, it is all misleading. We booked and got stuck on the way there by car. We called the hotel, and no help, no advice was given. We spoke to one guy, and he said we should walk to the hotel climbing mountain with our luggage in snow covered tiny road. No refund was given. Very opportunistic owner.

Fantastic
Pros:

Beautiful place. With great staffs. Very helpful with informations and also helped us store the luggages. Welcomed us with some Swiss chocolates in room felt personal and created a great first impression. Very nice view. And the whole place becomes magical in the evening once the cable car shuts down and day visitors have left. So quiet and truly healing.

Cons:

Just that it can be better if there is free ticket on the cable car for the hotel guest or some sort of discounts.

Pros:

Location is great, next to the Bort stop and surrounded by beautiful mountains. The sunset view from the hotel is breathtaking.

Cons:

Great location comes with a price. The access is limited by the operating hours of gondola, especially during the winter when the road is closed and gondola is the only transportation. We missed the last gondola as we arrived after 4:15pm and had to find an alternative accommodation for the first night.

Room with a View and modern Swiss Restaurant
Pros:

Amazing view, dog friendly and great staff!

Cons:

They told us the Gondola is 10CHF- actually 40CHF for 2 people each way and parking is another 11 CHF for 24hrs
Macaroni and cheese plate is to die for but steer clear of the Rosti- just a store bought package with frozen vegetables on top.
Dogs are also an additional 25CHF which they didn’t tell me and another set of taxes will be paid at check-in which I believe should have all been included in the estimate on Booking.com when entering in the number of travelers and pets.

pour sûr nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel qui est mon préféré à Grindelwald
Pros:

fantastique vue sur le Eiger. La chambre est très calme et l'hôtel jolie avec décoration de bon gout. l^hôtel est assez petite pour se sentir à l'aise. Notre salle de bain était dans une pièce à part et il fallait traverser le petit couloir public. Il y a des robes de chambre mises à disposition pour cet effet.

Cons:

Ce qui nous a beacoup déranger est que le restaurant ferme à 21h et on est obligé d'aller dans sa chambre car il n'y a pas de lieu ou séjourner sinon. Pour nous c'était beaucoup trop tôt, on aurait aimé boire un pot et continuer à jouer ailleurs que dans la chambre.

Pros:

Das Personal war sehr nett und die Aussicht aus dem Fenster bezaubernd! (Budget/Economy Zimmer)
Achtung: Badezimmer ist nicht im Zimmer sondern gegenüber.

Cons:

Ich bin leider schon mehrmals über die Bettpfosten gestolpert, da diese etwas breiter abstehen als das eigentliche Bett

Sofrimento por causa do acesso a carro

Nosso dia foi pessimo, fomos de carro, não tinha informação que a estrada é fechada no inverno. Pedermos a reserva . Perdemos o dia. O acesso é somente por teleférico no inverno

Stilvoll ~ schön ~ ruhig ~ tagsüber eine stylische Hütte (Mittelstation der Firstbahn Grindelwald) mit Bewirtung und nach Sonnen Untergang die herrliche Stille umgeben von Schnee ❄️ und Bergen.
Unglaublich herzliche Mitarbeiter, die wirklich jeden Wunsch erfüllen wollten und auch konnten, incl. kleiner Extras.

Bei der Anreise erst das Gepäck an der Talstation abladen und dann zum Parkplatz 🅿️ fahren - hat aber auch gut geklappt (mit App -> easy park, am besten vorher installieren)

Cons:

Let op: in de winter is het hotel alleen bereikbaar met de kabelbaan, enkele reis kost 20 euro per persoon. De laatste lift gaat om kwart over 4, daarna zit je 'gevangen' in het hotel want je kan geen kant op. Ik had dit niet door toen ik dit hotel boekte.
En toilet en badkamer waren op de gang.
