Heerlijk verblijf

Relax in the Swiss alps, time detachment
Pros:

Family-driven hotel, excellent location in a peaceful area in Saanenmöser (5 minutes by foot from the train station), close to the renowned Gstaad.
The hotel is well renovated, big and bright rooms, amazing bed, good breakfast, kind personnel. The highlight is the whirpool (jacuzzi) in the garden, free, the best way to relax after hiking.

Unfortunately, my stay at Le Petit Relais was disappointing. From the outset, the experience was marred by poor hospitality. The owner was notably rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone for the visit. Upon arrival, we were handed a list of strict instructions, including a directive not to touch anything in the room due to the absence of cleaning services—an unusual and uncomfortable expectation for paying guests.
We were also asked to pay a deposit of 200 CHF, which felt excessive and out of line with standard practice. At checkout, the owner personally inspected the room and appeared quick to attribute any pre-existing wear or damage to the guests, which felt unfair and accusatory.
Additionally, we were overcharged, and there was no transparency or willingness to discuss the discrepancy. Overall, the experience lacked warmth, professionalism, and basic hospitality standards. I would not recommend this property to others.

Un sitio ideal para explorar Gstaad gracias a sus propietarios que hacen que te sientas como en casa

La atención de los propietarios. De los mejores check-in que he recibido en muchos años!
Se nota que les encanta conocer a sus clientes y preocuparse porque disfruten durante toda la estancia en la región.
Repetiría cada vez que fuera a Gstaad de vacaciones!
Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias, con vistas a chalets y a la montaña.
El desayuno tiene un muy buen café para ser de máquina, aunque pocas opciones de comida.
Hay parking justo delante del hotel, por lo que es super fácil moverse.
Como en casi todas partes de Suiza, al alojarte, te dan (por teléfono) la tarjeta de transporte público gratuito.

Cons:

Para decir algo, en el baño de nuestra habitación no había enchufes. Eso dificultaba el peinarnos, al tener que hacerlo fuera del baño y sin espejo cerca.
La variedad del desayuno podría mejorarse o reponer si quedan pocas cosas. Si no ibas a primera hora, quedaba poca cosa para elegir.
