I really enjoyed Zurich and Hotel Marta was a great place to stay
Pros:

Easy to find, close to the train station. Zurich is very walkable so it was nice to wander through the old town and down to the lake. I visited mainly to see the Kunsthaus art gallery and that was amazing. The hotel is a no-frills option but my room was really nice and very large. They provided earplugs, I think due to there being a tram line on the road outside, but I didn't need them at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I wasn't overly keen on relying on my phone to open doors so they gave me a physical key which was very reassuring. I enjoyed my time in Zurich very much and I would certainly recommend Hotel Marta to anyone visiting.

Cons:

Being British I would have preferred a kettle in the room, but the free coffee in the reception area along with environmentally friendly cold water was very welcome.

Great budget option in the heart of Zurich.
Pros:

Loved the breakfast - fresh and lots of options in a large, non-crowded breakfast room. Comfortable rooms. Fabulous location in the center of Zurich. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean.

Zwischenstop
Pros:

Direkt im Zentrum, sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende junge Frau an der Rezeption. Da wir keine SFr hatten, um eventuell die Parkuhr ,, zu füttern" hat sie uns, da keine Kartenzahlung möglich war, ihr Kleingeld gegeben, für den Fall, dass wir einen Parkplatz in der Nähe bekommen. War leider aussichtslos, aber in der Nähe ist das Parkhaus Urania, wo man gut parken kann. Das Zimmer ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Für einen ungestörten Schlaf lagen Ohropacks bereit. Das Frühstück war vegetarisch und minimalistisch, aber ausreichend.

Cons:

Etwas schwer zu finden, da in einer verkehrsberuhigten Zone nach einer Kurve.
