Après une nuit difficile ailleurs, nous avons trouvé le paradis à Hacienda El Rodeo ! Cet endroit est tout simplement merveilleux : une vraie hacienda costaricienne authentique, entourée de jardins magnifiques, avec une piscine superbe et une ambiance ultra reposante. Pas un bruit de route ou de circulation – juste le chant des oiseaux et la tranquillité absolue. Idéal pour se détendre.
Le personnel est exceptionnel : chaleureux, attentif, souriant en permanence. Ils nous ont bien accueillis , et rien n'était trop pour nous (surtout avec notre petite de 5 ans). La cuisine est un régal : des plats frais, savoureux, typiques ,on s'est vraiment régalés, du petit-déjeuner au dîner.
La petite balade à cheval nous a énormément plu : une expérience magique dans la nature, adaptée aux familles, avec un guide sympa et patient. Notre fille a adoré !
Bref, c'est exactement ce qu'on espérait au Costa Rica : repos, nature, bonne nourriture et hospitalité sincère. Nous recommandons à 200 % cet hôtel, surtout aux familles avec enfants. Merci pour ce séjour inoubliable !

The Hacienda was full of faded elegance and charm. A beautiful old building set in its own substantial grounds, with a very attractive pool. We were looked after extremely well by Jamie, who did everything he could to make us feel at home ( literally) At the time of our stay we were the only guests, so it was very quiet, but consequently very relaxed. Good breakfast each morning, always served with a smile.
This is tricky, because we loved the property but it was not as described by Booking.Com. The rooms DO NOT have a kitchenette. The restaurant is available by advance reservation only, and there is only a bar on a weekend, when the Hacienda opens its grounds to the general public.
Grounds are gorgeous, animals, horseback riding, wonderful staff, seclusion not far from San Jose airport

The Breakfast was always lovely. The staff Jaime, Memito and Darling were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, they were so friendly and helpful - I couldn’t recommend them enough

We visit Hacienda El Rodeo as first stop at our holiday in Costa Rica. Very charming and beautiful hotel. Service was excellent! Garden and pool was beautiful. A lot of animals, hen and chickens, ducks and horses. Easy to join horsback riding in the jungle. Good food. A lot to explore but also calm and nice. Perfect stay for families.
The breakfast was excellent, local flavors prepared to perfection.

The hotel is quaint and lovely. The grounds around the property are beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I enjoyed the meals and dining on the patio. The staff was friendly. The surrounding neighborhood is off the beaten path and feels like you are far away from everything. Peaceful and unique.

Our stay here was perfect--we felt completely at home and enjoyed our stay very much. The property is beautiful, clean, lovingly maintained, and peaceful. The owner, Guillermo, puts a great deal of love and care into the hacienda and it is apparent. There is a rich family history associated with this property and it makes the experience all the more special. Meals are exceptional! My colleague enjoyed every meal that was prepared. Beautiful space to read on the porch or swim in the beautiful pool. I look forward to visiting again and taking my family next time.
Highly recommend this gorgeous ranch 40 mins from San Jose, up in the mountains. It’s in a beautiful setting and has everything you need, it’s calming and peaceful. The proprietor and his family looked after us so well, he is an amazing chef so definitely have dinner here, it’s delicious. We took a horse trek which was fun down a route through the trees to a river with an old bridge and stunning views. The best place we have stayed during our trip to Costa Rica, it’s so comfortable, feels like home and all their pets add to the experience.
