Old local authentic house.
It was just next to really fast running river, so noisy like someone is flushing the toilet next to you all the time. Bed was too short and too narrow for 2 grownup pwople. My 195 cm partner feet hanged over the edge of the bed. We were in room 13, floor was covered in old aithentic building with artificial lynoleum, trying to look like woodend floor, but as floor is really uneven, the floor was super slippery.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
When we booked a room,we knew that it will be in old historical house,so we didnt expected usual hotel.
The room were amazin,very old furnished and old slyled,but very clean and comfortable at the same time.
We saw a rewiev,that mountain river were loud and some guest thinks its uncomfortable for sleeping,but we found it relaxing and very nice.
If you like unusual and old fashioned places we totaly reccomend to stay here.
Frühstuck war sehr gut, alles war sauber.
No light in entrance area to see getting the key out of the box. The sliding door was very stiff and the stairway very narrow and steep. Very difficult for someone with a handicap so it should be noted in the booking questionnaire. No escape route in case of fire.

- Breakfast was fine, reasonably varied.
- bar and restaurant were temporarily closed;
- No reception available after a certain hour;
- Shower had no hot water (assuming it’s connected to heating and only one can work at a time);
- Very steep stairs for a dog to climb.

Old house with a tiny room. Very basic facilities. If you look for romantic, check another options :)
Room was lovely and cute with a nice view, beds relatively comfortable. Great breakfast just missing unsweetened yogurt!
The pillows weren't good they were too baggy and big, kept waking up because of this unfortunately

Monschau is very nice, worth a visit.
In the family room on the first floor, one of the beds was very saggy which was pretty uncomfortable. The wifi signal was pretty much non existant. The bread buns served at breakfast tasted like leftovers from the day before.
It's an old, authentic building. It surely has its charms. Be aware of the low ceilings with beams though or you'll bump your head (my wife is 1m76 and even she was at risk).
Reading other people's reviews it seems some were more lucky than we were. All I want to say is: Avoid the family room.
