Kulturgeschichtlich interessanter Übernachtungsplatz mit einfachem Standard
Pros:

Cons:

Verschimmelte Dusche
Dreckige Toilette
Nachttischlampen ohne Funktion

Good food, service very friendly.
Pros:

We came to this restaurant via a Stellplatz book. We often try to find a nice restaurant a bit out of the way so that we can park overnight after having had a wonderful meal and a beer or two. Almost every Stellplatz offered by a hotel or restaurant is free if you eat at the restaurant. I say almost everyone because Landgasthof Gotzenmuhle is not one of them.

We went to the restaurant and had the Rhea with Kartoffelklösse and Rotkohl and the Oxen with Potatoe Salad. Very good! We had dessert of deep-fried apples with vanilla ice-cream, excellent! and the ausgezogene schmalzgebäck, also excellent. When it was time to pay we told the waitress that we were there with an RV thinking that she, like every establishment we've been to in the last 20 years, would say "no charge for the parking spot because you've eaten here." Mind you, our dinner bill was 40,90€. The waitress said we owed 50,90€. We told her that we were just parked, not needing any facilities - they had a washroom and a shower we could have used and an electric hook-up which we also did not need or use. She said it didn't matter what we used or didn't use, there was a 10€ fee for parking. We only had 50€ on us because we didn't expect to be charged for parking since we did eat at the establishment and because we've never been charged in all the years we've been travelling with our RV because we've always visited the restaurant on offer. The waitress said that the 50€ we had was enough and let us get off of paying the extra 90 Eurocent.

This is really not the way to do things. We were parked in the backfield on some grass and had spent 40€, which is a fair amount for dinner, and still had to pay for the right to park overnight. Although the food was good, this experience left us a bit sour.

Chance finding of this Awesome place
Pros:

Did not stay at the hotel, we found this by accident looking for a new place to have lunch with the kids. Out of the way, great food, great service, great prices. 53 Euro for the 4 of us with coffee and a slice of cake. Organic Beef is the centerpiece, great taste and when the owner saw my steak)almost done) he stated it was overcooked so brought me a new one, awesome. They offer a Buffet on the first weekend of the month. They also have weekend packages with meals included. The front yard has a Karpfen pool for fresh catch, pool to kitchen to plate. Big play area for kids with a large sandbox. It is out of the way, about 3 kilometers from Lichtenau.
