schöner Gasthof, modern, sauber, gutes Frühstück, Parken möglich
Pros:

idyllischer Gasthof im Stadtzentrum, historisches Gebäude mit einem mega tollen modernen Anbau nach hinten. Großer Frühstücksraum, toller Biergarten, schönes Frühstücksbufett.
Eigenes Restaurant für Abendbrot, Achtung dienstags Ruhetag !
Parken auf der Straße kostenfrei möglich (in der Zeit von 18.00 -8.00 Uhr)
saubere moderne Zimmer, sehr ruhig gelegen

Very good, but be aware the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays...
Pros:

Hotel was spotlessly clean, room was very good, most other aspects also very good. On street parking was fine, restaurant was very good, but see note of caution...

Cons:

There was no mention when booking through Booking.com, or by the staff, that the restaurant would be closed on Tuesday evening. That advice does appear on the website for zur-Sonne, but as always the booking sites come first and the hotel website has to be searched for, if it exists. There is almost no alternative good restaurant in Pappenheim on Tuesdays, most other businesses there are closed, so be prepared to travel elsewhere for dinner.
