Exceptional
Pros:

Very hospitable and friendly owners. Spacious room. Extensive breakfast. Apart from German, the owners speak English as well. They have a wine shop with some excellent local wines.
Close to Trier. Quiet area.

Cons:

Our room was on the first floor, close to the terrace where guests were talking all evening. However, this is a minor thing, and it applies only when the windows of the room are open.
All in all, we would certainly like to come back when we are in the area.
