Idyllic and stylish apartment in lake district
Pros:

Modestly furnished but spacious, well equipped, tasteful interior with own terrace looking out across lush grassland. Perfect for a relaxing stay. No air con but the requested fan did a good job of taking the edge off the heatwave. A surprise cinema on site and really delicious restaurant food on a beautiful dappled garden terrace elevated the experience. Highlight the truffled carpaccio.

Cons:

As I was traveling alone, it might have been nice to have the host check on me during my 3 night stay. Location wise it was a bit of a walk from the train station - quite gruelling in the heat - mitigated by close proximity to supermarket, lake, bus stop and a few bars.
