Hôtel très sympathique. Les patrons sont très agréables. Ideal pour une nuit avant une croisière partant de La Romana.

Wir haben eine Kreuzfahrt gebucht und sind 2 Tage davor bei Giovanni eingecheckt um uns vom Flug zu erholen! Der Aufenthalt war super! Die Ausstattung der geräumigen Zimmer, die schöne kleine, toll gepflegte Anlage, das Frühstück und Giovannis Kochkünste Abends! Auch kann man hier sehr gute Zigarren genießen! Wenn man möchte werden Ausflüge organisiert, Taxis usw. gebucht. Giovanni und seine Mama sind tolle Gastgeber!!

We did not have hot water for our shower and had trouble with the toilet not flushing properly. The fans between the door being closed allowed for some small bugs to crawl in the room. The air con was great and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was great. It was ok for a one night stay precruise.

Ambiente campestre, buena limpieza, el desayuno es muy completo. Pudimos hacer check in anticipado y check out tardío lo que no es común en los hoteles.

Beautifully landscaped, exceptionally clean and newly remodeled.
Staff so friendly very accommodating. We were there one night before catching a cruise. The hotel took care of our transportation from the airport to the hotel. Then the next day they had a ride for us to the cruise port. I highly recommend staying here. Very safe the grounds were secured with fencing. They had cameras on the property.
The food was excellent. Wonderful breakfast for the guest in the morning. They also had dinner for us that evening. Everything was so clean and nice. The bathrooms were gorgeous. We enjoyed it very much. I would definitely stay here again.

Whether you're staying in La Romana for a week or only for the night for the cruise the next day, Hotel El Dorado is a phenomenal place to stay. The pool is not only clean but also has a bar.

The rooms are very unique with colour changing lights. The room itself also has plenty of room and doesn't feel crowded. The shower heads (Yes, plural) had multiple options to choose from. I had a balcony that came with some lawn chairs to sit in if you felt like sitting outside enjoying the weather.

It's less a hotel and more of a mini resort, multiple small buildings that are surrounded by a wall, ensuring your safety.

Not only is the room price very affordable, but the meals and transfers from the airport (100USD from Punta Cana) are much cheaper than other companies would offer.

The meals themselves were cooked slowly and methodically, ensuring the quality of the food was above high quality. This is a hotel that takes its time and does it extremely well. Your meal will be added to your room number, where you will pay for it on checking out.

I personally missed breakfast because I slept in, but housekeeping did swing by and ask if I wanted some fruit to eat in my room.

Spanish is definitely encouraged. However, you can absolutely get by with English.

The staff working there, from front desk to housekeeping to security and everyone in between, always had a smile on their face and was always ready to help you out.

If I were to come back to La Romana, Hotel El Dorado would definitely be my first choice.

P.S. They also have a mouser (cat) to ensure no mice stay around the hotel area.

For a "free, continental breakfast", the breakfast was excellent and included omelets cooked to order, plus plenty of other food and drink.
