Eine angenehme Oase - sicher nicht nur nach einem harten Arbeitstag
Pros:

Nun, die Auswahl an Unterkünften ist in dieser Gegend etwas beschränkt und das Laatokan Portti stellte sich als Glücksgriff heraus. "Jacky" war immer ansprechbar und kümmerte sich umgehend, um Fragen zu klären oder Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Apartments am See sind absolut zu empfehlen.

Pros:

Sijainti kauniilla paikalla järven rannalla. Siisti huone järvinäköalalla ja auringonlaskulla. Monipuolinen aamiainen (15€). Kalakauppa pihalla. Todella ystävällinen henkilökunta.

Perfect place to stay on your road trip
Pros:

We are so happy we found this place. It’s such a beautiful location, separate swimming pier and sunset pier, facilities for bbq, bikes to borrow and go for a ride etc. The rooms were big, beds comfy, fan and blackout curtain in the room. Also a small fridge for your food items. The shared bathrooms were clean and two rooms had one designated toilet, which was amazing idea. The breakfast was really good, plenty of options. And last but not the least; the staff was so kind and friendly!!

Pros:

I have never met such friendly and accommodating hosts! They were super nice, made me a packed breakfast because I was leaving early, and were always available to help. The place is very idyllic and beautiful. Kiitos paljon!!

Cons:

Coffee machine in the room was dusty but I guess no one really uses it (I didn't need to). Otherwise everything was perfect!

Nature beauty, cozy and friendly place to stay!
Pros:

This place is unique by it’s beatiful location by the lake but especially the amazingly friendly host!! This is no luxury place but a cozy, clean and a friendly place. The auhtentic 70 style of the room should be used in marketing! Loved it. Even though during winter there is no breakfast the host arranged it to us in the 2 bedroom+lounge+kitchen (in which we were upgraded). Wonderful breakfast with freh fish delights!

Historic lakeside hotel
Pros:

A wonderful, historic hotel that served me very well as a base for a few days of remote work, birdwatching, and relaxation on the lake. Within easy reach of Parikkala, Siikalahti, and Punkaharju. The caretakers were very friendly, even allowing me to use a spare router to make sure I had strong enough internet to work.

Cons:

A bit close to a major highway and train line, and the noise made it not entirely peaceful.
