Good location, be warned no lift in hotel
Pros:

Good location in venue in centre of village. Not quite ski in ski out, but 2 min walk to slope. Bars and restaurants, shops just a minute away

Cons:

No lift , 3 floors of stairs after hard day skiing was no fun.
3 floors in arrival/checkout with 2x 25Kg bags was really no fun.

Beds very uncomfortable.

Pros:

Staff were great , helpful , polite and efficient.
Rooms were lovely and kept beautifully clean .
Spa was great and the food in the restaurant, although a bit expensive, was delicious and therefore worth the money.
Boot and ski storage was excellent, easy to access and secure.

Periaatteessa ok hotelli, mutta ylihinnoiteltu kokonaislaatuun nähden.
Pros:

Sijainti oli periaatteessa Ok, vaikka ei olekaan mikään aito ski in/out - paikka. Lähellä hyvä tarjonta ravintola ym. palveluista. Receptionin henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja huolehtiva. Aamiaisella pääosin sama juttu. Huone oli riittävän tilava kahdelle, mutta kolmen kanssa olisi tullut varsin ahdasta. Huone oli rauhallinen ja äänieritys siedettävä verrattuna moneen muuhun hotelliin.

Mahdollisuus varata hieronta ja SPAkäynti Pashmina hotellista oli hyvä plussa.

Cons:

Aamiainen ei vastannut odotuksia. Tarjonnassa ei ollut vaihtelua ja cappucino oli suorastaan surkeaa. Aamiaissalin henkilökunta oli ajoittain kovassa paineessa eli sitä olisi saanut olla hetkittäin enemmän.

Hotellista tuli etukäteen hyvin kattavat ohjeet. Siihen kannattaisi lisätä vielä miten hotellista pääsee parhaiten rinteisiin ja takaisin, nyt asiaa sai kysyä reception henkilöiltä parikin kertaa. Sinällään reitit ovat ok, mutta suoraan rinteisiin ei pääse kuten monista muista Val Thorensin hotelleista.

Hotellin pieni SPA jäi meiltä käyttämättä, sillä sinne piti varata aika etukäteen.

Hinta-laatu - suhde ei kokonaisuutena täsmännyt, mutta tilanne valitettavasti Ranskan alpeilla ja erityisesti Val Thorensissa on vuosien kokemuksella sama. Hotellit ovat ylihintaisia tarjolla olevaan laatuun nähden verrattuna esimerkiksi Italiaan ja Itävaltaan.

La proximité des pistes de ski.

Cons:

Établissement affichant 4 étoiles, mais expérience en dessous des attentes.
Chambre sans espace de rangement, impossibilité d’avoir un café en journée, spa inaccessible ou non réservable après 17h — difficile d’en profiter après une journée d’activités.
Au petit déjeuner, œufs au plat brûlés même après une seconde préparation. Au dîner en demi-pension, fromage en supplément : surprenant pour cette catégorie d’hôtel.
Heureusement, deux membres du personnel (réception et salle) ont relevé le niveau par leur professionnalisme et leur gentillesse.
Des ajustements seraient nécessaires pour être réellement à la hauteur du standing annoncé.

We had a fabulous family holiday.
Pros:

Exceptional staff and great food. Very comfortable hotel.

Cons:

It was a little tricky to get back to the hotel from the slopes. Not a problem if good skiers and reasonably fit but would be more difficult for beginners or with small children. Probably easier if less snow in the village but who would complain about lots of snow!

Overall, a very good visit. Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Clean, very welcoming, and excellent location. Ski out from a few meters away and ski back to about a 15m walk to a lift back to the hotel. The spa was an excellent facility. The food was also very good.

Cons:

The only negatives are around the restaurant where, while the food is very good, the service is rather slow. Also, for our last dinner, we wanted to dine with others. Unfortunately, the staff were unwilling to make a table for 5 despite tables being available that could have been put together. Such a minor detail to spoil what would, otherwise, have been a faultless stay.
