Fantastic location right opposite the cathedral in the centre of town but quiet!
Room was beautiful and very well set out with lots of nice touches.
The warm welcome at the Saint Martin’s House was lovely and all staff we spoke to were really helpful.
It was a particularly hot night and there was no air con. A huge fan was provided and we can’t complain as the room otherwise was beautiful - and the cost great value for money.

Room was very hot due to the heatwave and window would only slightly open. However the fan was much appreciated!
The hotel check in was great and really friendly staff. Hotel location was perfect, especially with free parking. Room was lovely and spacious, with very nice decor.
It felt a little style but no substance. It was admittedly a heat wave, but the lack of AC or effective fan made the room uncomfortably warm, and it was too noisy to leave the windows open. Lots of the bathroom taps didn’t work properly, including the roll top bath just flooding the bathroom, and the shower tap dropping temp mid use. The coffee machine also leaked and wouldn’t work which was disappointing. Finally the signage is really inconsistent within the hotel, so depending on which of the many staircases you started on it wasn’t easy to find the room.

The hotel was in an ideal location and really good value for money. Check in and check out was easy.
Sizze of room
The lodge is exceptional - high end decor, great finishes and lovely small touches. Fridge with water, fan and parking included in price. Loved the fact that we got a discount voucher at local cafe which was great. Amazing location in quiet part of town, just up my street!

Although the beginning of an heat wave we where a little bit warm some extra water in the fridge would have been a nice gesture
my car reg didnt work even when pre reg and this caused stress cars beeping road rage then after leaving car park 3 hrs later reg still didnt work so had to wait for call button again same for my return journey was quite a wait for my call to be answered so made the whole stay very stressful I have ASD so oy wasnt the experience I expexped!
