Excellent Across the Board 10/10
Pros:

We loved the stay, comfortable room and great amenities. They reached out beforehand to confirm if we had booked for dinner to support, alongside to assign a parking space. The food was excellent throughout our stay and the complimentary drink was also a lovely touch and really added to our evening and experience. The bathroom, shower and bath were amazing and the robes provided were cosy and a welcome comfort after hiking during the day. The blackout blinds in the room were amazing and we had a great night sleep even though there was a wedding celebration during the night that we stayed, which shows the dedication of the staff and excellent effort of the hotel to both host and support a great wedding celebration whilst being mindful and supporting other guests. I'd definitely recommend the Merchant's Yard and I can't wait to return at some point soon!
Thank you so much.

Cons:

There was nothing that we didn't like. The lady supporting breakfast seemed to be working alone and she was working very hard to support multiple tables for food, so if another colleague was available this could have given her more support, but she did a great job and breakfast was delicious and efficient.

I would have liked to know that none of the rooms has a window
Pros:

Nicely cooked eggs but spoilt by being covered in sauce - not expected

Cons:

The room has no window

No staff around after 5pm
No extra pillows or blankets

Pros:

It was very clean, staff pleasant

Cons:

Bar shut to early, felt we were a little rushed at dinner and in the bar area barman was waiting to shut up after his boss finished his meeting which was in the bar area next to us which we found inappropriate as we were the only ones in the bar
area Also we found the property hard to find is not sign posted very well

Mooi en luxe hotel.
Pros:

Mooi hotel. Grote kamer, erg luxe. Helaas geen airconditioning en het was dus erg warm op de kamer.
Eten voortreffelijk!

Cons:

Geen airconditioning en dat was tijdens ons verblijf geen overbodige luxe. Wel een waaier.

Great spot to explore the Peak District.
Pros:

Fantastic service and location. Room was great and had everything we needed including fresh milk everyday for our morning coffee. We had our own allocated parking spot which was fantastic. The food served in the restaurant was really good and heaps of options for breakfast each day. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

Excellent B&B with a touch of luxury
Pros:

The luxury and quiet. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. Even the bathrooms exuded class. Their award-winning restaurant truly lived up to its reputation. The food was amazing and we looked forward to an excellent breakfast to start each day. I extended compliments to the chef for serving the best lamb chop I have ever had. Personalised name cards for parking were a nice touch. The staff were warm and attentive, and we felt just at home. A perfect base to unwind after a long day exploring the Peak District.
