We had such a beautiful stay at The Merchant’s Yard. The place is absolutely stunning, with lovely décor and a really relaxing atmosphere throughout. Everything felt very well thought out, from the comfortable room to the peaceful courtyard area. The staff were welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience even more special. It was the perfect place for a getaway with my mum, and we both felt so comfortable and well looked after.
Honestly, there wasn’t much to fault. If anything, we just wish we could have stayed longer! Everything about the stay met our expectations.

Large well appointed room(no 8) . Lovely shower and roll top bath and a fantastically comfy bed.
Restaurant on site was superb ,all the staff very attentive and professional and I swear we had the best steak of our lives !!!!
Having to leave in the morning after a superb stay!
When we arrived we were greeted by staff who were so welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. We were offered a complimentary welcome drink of your choice which was such a nice touch! The rooms were very clean and modern and it was nice to have shower gels etc in the room. The evening meal was faultless and food was so tasty and such good value for money. The breakfast was amazing we could not fault it. We loved the fact you could order everything rather than buffet style this felt much more personal. Overall an amazing stay and we will definitely be returning soon so thank you!
The rooms were quite hot at night even when turning the heating off.

Could not dislike anything
My wife and I stayed at The Merchant Yard for our wedding anniversary. We had a deluxe double room. The room was amazing, spacious and very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and made sure we had a lovely stay. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. My wife is gluten free, staff we’re always attentive and aware of dietary requirements. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so amazing. We will definitely come back again. Such a wonderful place would highly recommend. The food is amazing
