A lovely change from a faceless chain hotel.
Pros:

The locaction was fantastic and the bar areas were comfortable and welcoming.

Cons:

The service was slow on a few occasions, there didn't seem to be many staff around. The staff who were available were very friendly and helpful.

Don’t think I would stay again, the hotel is very rickety so can here people coming and going

Cons:

Didn’t get in the room what was stated in the booking. No iron, asked the waiter at the bar and he didn’t even know what an iron was. Said a manager would come to our room but no one came

Lovely hotel and surroundings let down by less-than-efficient food service.
Pros:

The hotel, bar, and grounds were very nice. The check-in and check-out process was efficient. Ample parking. The staff were very pleasant.

Cons:

The food service was extremely slow for dinner. Errors were made on our order and many of the outdoor tables were left uncleared for a long time. At breakfast, there were no staff visible at 08:20hrs - we had to find someone!
