A worthwhile overnight stay, with good food and helpful staff.
Pros:

Friendly, helpful staff, good food, good location for our purposes.

Cons:

The public area, in particular the corridors, are in need of refurbishment. Our room was clean and comfortable, though the desk was long past its best, with the edges broken and crumbling. It needs replacing, and quite a simple inexpensive though worthwhile new surface to the desk would make all the difference.

Very friendly, great location and great value for money
Pros:

The staff/owner were very friendly and helpful. 4 of us arrived in the rain with muddy bikes and they were extremely helpful finding a dry secure store for our bikes. The location was central and the food was plentiful and good value for money. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Cons:

One of the rooms was a bit stuffy as the window didn’t open.

All in all any small negatives were for outweighed by the number of positives
Pros:

The location of the hotel was just right, close to high street and for walks along river tweed. Food, including breakfast, was very good. Fresh and lots of it

Cons:

The bedroom, had all the facilities expected but is in need of a bit of tlc.

Excellent, relaxing, with good shops , walks along the Tweed right on the doorstep.
Pros:

We liked our room, the friendly staff, and the lage choice of meals on the menu. We also enjoyed the breakfasts and the dining areas. The hotel was right on the main street.

Cons:

Only problem we had was recharging our mobiles and tablets etc. Really just a lack of charging points.
