Cosy small hotel outside of London
Pros:

Breakfast included in price: while I read before our stay that for some it was too simple, I think it was enough to have a proper breakfast.
Staff was very nice, they cleaned the room every day and also provide iron box upon request.
Also need to mention they have quite early check-in from 14:00. We didn’t make use of it, as we landed at Gatwick already by morning, so it made no sense to come by middle of the day forth and back.

Cons:

The shower was a little confusing, first came hot water, then cold and then lukewarm, without changing any setting on it.

Pros:

Personál byl ochotný i když paní moc neuměla anglicky a bylo se těžké domluvit. Lokalita byla dobrá kousek byly supermarkety a vlaková stanice

Cons:

Pokoj na fotkách působí mnohem lépe než ve skutečnosti, po příchodu byl navíc cítit cigaretový kouř. Největší problém nastal, když nám personál vyhodil krabici od plyšáka, ve které jsme měli uložené osobní věci. Po návratu jsme zjistili, že je pryč, a po nahlášení byla komunikace dost složitá. Nakonec se část věcí našla v koši, ale krabice byla zničená. Snídaně byla velmi skromná, výběr malý a kvalita spíše průměrná. Celkově zklamání, znovu bych sem nepřijela.

Goed geslapen en lekker ontbeten.
Pros:

Comfortabele bedden en een goed ontbijt zorgden voor een aangenaam verblijf. De parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel is wel beperkt, wat iets minder praktisch kan zijn.
De ligging is een groot pluspunt: dicht bij twee stations, waardoor je gemakkelijk met de trein naar Londen reist. Ook handig in combinatie met de Oyster Card. Daarnaast ligt het hotel op wandelafstand van een gezellig centrum met enkele leuke restaurants en pubs.

Cons:

In de badkamer was er een rioolgeur aanwezig, die werd gemaskeerd door een vrij sterke luchtverfrisser. Het kastje onderaan vertoonde sporen van mogelijke waterschade. In de slaapkamer waren er enkele (oude) vochtvlekken zichtbaar op het plafond.
De kamerindeling was wat ongebruikelijk, met een bureau voor de verwarming, en er waren nog lichte lijmresten zichtbaar op de muur.
Daarnaast viel het groene veiligheidslicht op, dat ’s nachts de kamer verlichtte en het slaapcomfort enigszins beïnvloedde.

Pros:

The location is perfect, it is only a 3-4 minute walk to the tram, railway, and bus station. It is very near the High Street and Waitrose and M&S supermarkets. And you could be jogging in the Beckenham Palace Park, which has a nice outdoor homemade cafe. In one word, it was a wonderful experience in Beckenham of UK.

VALUE FOR MONEY AND COMFORTABLE STAY AND LOCATION
Pros:

We had a lovely stay in Room 8. The space was just right for two adults, and the room was spotless. The little balcony was a pleasant surprise, giving us a view over the main road and car park. The hotel itself was very clean throughout, and even though it’s a Victorian terraced building with rooms close together, it was wonderfully quiet. Every staff member we met was friendly, courteous, and welcoming. Check‑in and check‑out were smooth, and we found the information board at the entrance—highlighting local attractions and travel distances to London landmarks—really useful. A comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Cons:

A few small areas could be enhanced to match the high standard inside the property. The entrance steps and carpets would benefit from a deeper clean, and in Room 8 the basin pipe and toilet could use some attention. Adding a small bedside table for the single bed and adjusting the TV position would also improve comfort for guests.
