Rooms can be accessed via the internal stairs as well, whenever the pub is open - from 11:00 until 23:00. Please note that access to the accommodations is via a single-story staircase and may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Monday to Sunday: 12:00 to 14:30 and 18:00 to 21:00
Please note that The Black Dog is closed between 14:30 and 17:00 from Monday until Saturday. Guests will not be able to check-in during this time, unless arranged in advance.
Please note that early check-in is possible from 13:00 to 14:30.

Excellent service, lovely and fresh food.
Friendly atmosphere, garden.
Booked room not available despite TWO phone calls to confirm. Alternative room offered was dirty and had obviously been used and not serviced. Tried to use WiFi and found it only worked in the corridor, not in the room. No attempt made to fix the problems, so we walked out.
It’s in such a beautiful location the staff are superb so friendly and welcoming, the food is 10/10 very good quality and attention to detail and would definitely be my go to stay again and would highly recommended this lovely place, also the history of this place is amazing and having photos of what it used to look like was just amazing thank you all for a lovely stay.

The location is great, just where we needed to be. The pub looked good, sadly didn't get a chance to sample it. They accommodated our bed choice and the room was big enough.
The room was way too hot and stuffy. Had to open the window - in November! It was that hot. So we didn't get much sleep. Wanted a cold drink of water - couldn't get the tops off the bottles of water in the room. The cold tap was running hot water. I raised these points to the staff on check out and they already knew about them! I was not offered any sort of discount or recompense that would have mollified me. Really disappointed.
The location works for visiting friends and family. Breakfast is good.
The room was ridiculously over heated. We couldn't switch off the bathroom radiator and had to sleep with the window open all night being woken by passing traffic. The room was also getting tired, needs carpet cleaning and refresh on the decorating.
The food was excellent as was the service. Great value for money. The room was also comfortable.
May need a bit of a refresh outside.

Omdat het beneden in de bar warm was, ging de verwarming boven niet aan totdat we het gingen vragen. Ze hebben hun best gedaan om het op te lossen.

A good base for the area. Good food and very pleasant room.
The stay was good but Booking .com charged us for a room we didn't have and so far have refused to refund it. The staff at the Black Dog have been very supportive but Booking.com have a very obstructive and unhelpful customer service which seems designed to confuse and prevent refunds

Tolles Frühstück und Abendessen war auch sehr gut.
Das Hotel ist zwar an der Strasse, aber war sehr ruhig.
