Rooms can be accessed via the internal stairs as well, whenever the pub is open - from 11:00 until 23:00. Please note that access to the accommodations is via a single-story staircase and may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Please note the following restaurant opening hours:
Monday to Sunday: 12:00 to 14:30 and 18:00 to 21:00

Please note that The Black Dog is closed between 14:30 and 17:00 from Monday until Saturday. Guests will not be able to check-in during this time, unless arranged in advance.

Please note that early check-in is possible from 13:00 to 14:30.

Great location, clean and comfortable room, great food! We will be back.
Pros:

The pub is in a pretty village only 10 minutes from Dorchester or the coast. Our room was clean, cozy and warm. We had a very relaxing 2 nights.
We had the most delicious cooked breakfast!

Excellent
Pros:

The room was perfect for two of us, well kitted bathroom with great walk in shower. Food was excellent, we had an evening meal which was fantastic and the breakfast was again very good. All food freshly cooked, made a great change from "bing bing " meals. Well done to you all. Thanks

Spotlessly clean, friendly staff and a great location!
Pros:

We had a lovely stay! Everything was spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great, very close to the local attractions. We were really happy with our stay and would happily recommend it!

Freindly and welcoming atmosphere, staff are really welcoming

Staff were really friendly and were really proud of their establishment, nothing was too much trouble to make our stay comfortable and welcoming, will certainly visit again when back in the area.

Friendly, welcoming and comfortable
Pros:

Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent food from the restaurant. A large room with a very comfortable bed. Convenient parking, with plenty of spaces.

Cons:

Breakfast was slow, even though there was only one other guest - we had baked croissants the first morning, which took more than 15 minutes to produce (apparently cooked from fresh, but that's too long to wait for croissants). The full English (which was excellent) we had the next morning appeared in about half that time.

Lovely location, reasonably priced, good food and comfortable bed. All staff were extremely accommodating.
Pros:

The Black Dog Inn is a lovely country pub. I was greeted by Tracey who was very welcoming. My room was lovely, furnished very well. Everything I needed was provided.

There was nothing.

Everything was perfect peaceful food excellent bed super comfortable actually missed breakfast cos I had a lie in lol. Staff so nice
