Lakes Hotel & Spa

The location of the hotel against the stunning backdrop of Lake Windermere is amazing. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

We had a hot tub room and were upgraded on check in to a larger room. The bed was extremely comfortable and something we've dreamt about since leaving! The hot tub and room services facilities were brilliant.

We didn't use the spa facilities on this occasion, but they were available throughout our stay. Plenty of parking and overall the hotel and it's ground were immaculate.

We are already planning when we might come again!

Friendly staff in a lovely location

This is the 2nd time in staying with you, however this time was the day after our wedding day. I left a small message on the booking form and you went above and beyond for me and my wife making our stay even more enjoyable.
You and your staff always make you feel welcome from the minute we walk through the door until the minute we leave.
That’s why we keep returning. 😀

Fabulous stay at the lakes hotel and spa, the room was spotless, great location, the staff were fantastic, we had room with hot tub was amazing can't wait to come back.

The whole venue is beautiful. It is very well maintained, very clean. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We got a free upgrade to a room with a hot tub and it was wonderful. The breakfast was also fantastic with so much choice.

We found the Lakes hotel and spa, to be really welcoming, the staff were so attentive, so friendly and helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

I paid for a premium room £550 for the night but I was unable to use the spa as it was completely overcrowded. It felt dirty seedy and unclean. It was full of drunk couples all over one another. The whole idea of a spa is to feel calm and relaxed I felt anything but

I stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter - we went in to the spa but were confronted with couples ‘smooching’ on the ‘cocoon beds ‘ there were 3 of them - not suitable watching them in the pool - you have to go through the pub but we were dressed fortunately - the 2nd night my daughter went home early as she was ill. I ate a meal on my own in the bar. When I got to my room I could hear water running and eventually realised my room was flooding and water dripping on my bed - I called reception as I wondered if someone had left a bath running upstairs and the staff arrived and said they had to move me - as there was a burst pipe - I was put in a dark room with a jacuzzi overlooking the car park and offered a free drink- by then it was after midnight . Also there was a shower over the bath and as I am an older lady with a hip replacement I couldn’t get in the bath ! I only do walk in showers or wet rooms ! In the middle of the night there was a ‘crash’ in my room and a knob had come off the wall and the slate hanging on it had smashed on the floor - I intend to visit again but had to write this as it’s not a cheap stay and a free drink didn’t cut it I’m afraid - I could have had a free breakfast but even that is self service - next time I want the red carpet to make up for the rubbish night I had .
