Breakfast great, staff friendly and welcoming. Helped immediately with the room issue.
Really central, easy access to beautiful countryside walks.
We were moved into main building as the annexe was extremely cold and felt damp. There were damp patches on the paintwork, felt dreary, cold and uncomfortable. Staff immediately moved us into the main building which was much nicer. Annexe probably better in the warmer weather.
No windows opening windows in bedroom.
Clean and comfortable room, in excellent location for the event we were attending (at Peak Cavern).
It was expensive.
We had a very pleasant stay at The Castle. Staff were all very friendly & helpful. It was all very clean & comfortable & wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if we were in the area.

The location was great
Extremely unwelcoming and rude staff, no regard for you’re a family with a baby. Early check-in denied after it says here that’s “it’s available on request”, made to wait 25 mins on reception, given the most noisy room above bar facing the outdoor seating, baby woke up crying in distress several times due to loud noises. They have no whole milk and not even a fridge in room to keep the one you buy from outside. This isn’t a property for family with under 3 year old.

The location was good for exploring different parts of Castleton
We visited in summer and the room was rather stuffy with only a small window and a small fan provided.

It's improved alot,cleaner,good service,staff good but there's the odd bar staff that have forgotten how to smile ,but generally alot better would stay again .
All was good ,no probs .
The apartment was really nice and clean. Toilets and showers were perfect and the actual pub and food was excellent.
