Spacious and affordable room - could benefit from a couple of small improvements
Pros:

We had a clean and spacious suite in this older hotel building. We particularly liked the extensive menu and lovely waterfront view in the dining area.

Cons:

Regarding access, you are directed to a parking lot below the hotel, which then leads up some 30 stairs to the front door. This could be an issue for some. It would be worth indicating to guests that if they turn at the next street they can at least unload their luggage and then return their vehicle to the lower lot.

Regarding facilities, we stayed in a range of accommodation types in our month in Scotland (typically with kitchenettes). Although this was booked basically as a hotel room, there are a few changes that would be helpful. The lack of a small hotel fridge in the unit to hold even a few perishables was inconvenient (and atypical). The suite did contain a decommissioned kitchenette, so installing one, and perhaps a microwave, would seem to be a small and significant improvement.
We were also surprised that there was limited content and no streaming capacity for the TV, which we also found to be atypical.

The staff were really friendly and the location was good for us as a base on the nc500

Cons:

Both reception rooms were closed for the night by 10pm. This just meant you couldn't sit and relax anywhere other than your room. Bar also closed by 10

Woukd stay again in a heartbeat
Pros:

Great quirky rooms with stunning loch views. Food was the best we have had in the 8 days we’ve been on the road. Lamb shank was beautiful.

Great value and wonderful room!
Pros:

Location was fantastic, great views. We were surprised by the amount of space in the suite! The restaurant was delicious and easy to book for dinner. Very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

L’emplacement, la suite qui était grande, l’accueil.

Cons:

La décoration vieillotte qui mériterait un rafraîchissement. Le fait que le parking soit très petit. Le premier soir nous avons dû nous garer sur un parking publique.
Le bruit le matin au petit déjeuner : on n’a pas toujours besoin d’avoir de la musique ou la télévision en fond sonore.
