Relaxing, comfortable and a lovely atmosphere.
Pros:

Breakfast was very enjoyable, as were all the meals we had.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Cons:

The wallpaper in the bedroom has seen better days.

A convenient location with a bar/restaurant serving good wholesome food. Would not stay again.
Pros:

The check-in, bar, parking and restaurant were good with a selection of basic food (all we wanted after a long drive)

Cons:

The room was cramped and up a steep flight of stairs. Not enough room for two people.

Excellent stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time and the staff made our time so enjoyable thank you for your hospitality
Pros:

Great little B&B and was perfect location for us.
The Staff were absolutely amazing and made our stay very comfortable and we felt very welcome.
The breakfast was great and it was such a bonus to have the bar and outdoor bar area to hang out in in the heat .

Cons:

There was nothing I didn’t like but other visitors should be aware that the rooms are smaller being an old English style pub.

Pros:

The room was small but adequate for one person;
Comfortable bed and reasonable shower-room;
Wi-fi was good, but after log-in route to access;
Convenient location and well maintained car park,

Cons:

The breakfast was disappointing; there was little
preparation and the menu should be much clearer;
I was the only diner and felt rather awkward; it was
pleasant but a feeling that it was too much trouble.
Perhaps the breakfast should be an optional extra?

Perfect Cheshire stopover
Pros:

The property was a good location for us. We wanted to break our journey in Cheshire and the Tollemache wasn’t too far off the motorway.
We took a walk from the hotel and found Bunbury locks about 15 minutes away. A lovely canal walk and great fun watching canal boats rising up and down through the locks.
The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The dinner was excellent and competitively priced. Breakfast was excellent too.

Cons:

I still don’t know how to pronounce the name of the hotel!
I stupidly left my charging cables because the electrical sockets were at floor level and I missed seeing them so low down as I left the hotel.

Will 100% return
Pros:

Room small but clean and comfortable. In the bar staff and food amazing as always I have stayed here several times. The only slight downside is the WiFi doesn’t seem to reach the accommodation area but this is minor considering the exceptional food and service I always receive

Hoping to come back next year
Pros:

Welcoming and really lovely staff. Fabulous food, comfortable surroundings, such a comfortable bed and our room was spotless. Such a lovely atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.

Cons:

Shower went from freezing to boiling hot and back again within seconds but we spoke with the staff regarding that and the maintenance staff have already been notified

Cons:

Size of the bedroom and ensuit were very small.
Very outdated ensuit that definitely needed a good clean.
Bedding hadn't been changed after the previous guest.
Windows didnt close properly, the room was desperately in need of decorating.

Nice stay overall. One rude staff member.
Pros:

The pub is lovely.
Clean room with smart TV.
Decent shower, simple room.
The free breakfast was okay.

Cons:

Staff was quite rude and irritable. I’ve never been charged a late check out for leaving 10 minutes late before. My friend was quite ill and she had quite a rude demeanour despite leaving the rooms clean.
