The staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Great location for the brewery tour
Nothing really.
Location, room, service and food all very good.
Nothing to report
Cosy Pub with character in a nice part of town. Friendly and convivial environment. Spacious and nicely furnished room. Easy free parking right outside.
Great location and a fab pub.
Nothing
Nice little pub, lovely room, helpful staff, great breakfast.
Breakfast
Awkard space unlit between two doors of entrance to room
Great location and staff very friendly
Asked for double bed but got a twin and not even standard single beds, only 2ft 6 inch. Toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time , curtains were falling apart, only fit for the bin.. Stairs to the room very steep
Location and the room was lovely
Some surfaces needed cleaning
Breakfast was good for choice nicely presented.
Staff all very friendly.
Breakfast was well organised and satisfying - plenty of options.
The shower had a mind of its own and was difficult to keep at an even temperature.
The hotel and bar were welcoming and professional. Rooms were comfortable and furnishings thoughtfully put together. My beds were super comfortable. The restaurant was a great bonus, with fantastic food and interesting menu.
Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast menu, included in price. Comfortable bed.
Room 7 is on the second floor. Very steep, windy steps that were difficult for me (asthma sufferer) and my 82 year old sister. The shower was powerful and hot, but the height was not adjustable, so I had a hair wash whether I wanted one or not! Very small cups, perfect for the coffee maker, but not for tea drinkers like us. The curtains need replacing; they are torn and shabby. Breakfast was lovely, but it had to be pre-ordered - if I could have chosen in the morning, I would have gone for something different. Overall, very good experience - but ask for a room on the first floor!
Great central location for Book Festival but parking limited but found free overnight street parking nearby in Belvedere Road .
No blind at window in bedroom. Security lighting in bedroom and bathroom corridor all night so no real darkness. Dining area lacking personality. Breakfast waitress unwelcoming and breakfast cups were glass!! No chair in bedroom.
We had a great room right at the top of the pub, which was very spacious and comfortable. The pub itself is very nice and a nice breakfast was provided (including vegetarian options).
For some guests, the amount of stairs up to the rooms might be a bit tricky to navigate.
