Everything … poor bed linen, old fashioned; no shower gel, no bath robes

The property was set again a lovely golf course which was beautiful.
The staff were very welcoming and tried their best to help, however they were definitely short staffed which made it harder in the staff that were working.
The pool was lovely and cool and well maintained.
The property has great potential but lacks in practical features, for example no AC in the rooms and non working fans. The rooms could also do with having a fridge to keep drinks cool.
The breakfast was the most disorganised with no plates, clean mugs, cutlery and at times no food. It was a shambles.
The fire alarm went off 4 times, one of which was at midnight with no explanation or anything.
The bar had hardly any drinks and disappointing bar service.
This is always so well kept and looked after. And such a peaceful location.
I miss the old reception location. New location feels a bit chaotic., lots going on and people going in different directions
The Golf was great, rooms nice and cool in the hot weather
Would be nice if the pool had access to the outside in the good weather. it didn't seem to have many periods for open swimming, some of the staff at the terrace area seemed grumpy and unhelpful
The location and grounds are stunning.
It seems the focus is on the golf not the hotel. Whilst clean and comfortable, albeit without air-conditioning, it felt on a par with a Premier Inn. The breakfast wasn't great ... there seemed an underlying discontent in the staff. They didnt seem particularly happy. The fire alarm went off late i to the night, which obvious can't be helped, and thankfully was a false alarm, but it didn't seem anyone was in control.

La mancanza dell’aria condizionata è stata atroce. Il nostro lodge era in posizione soleggiata e quando siamo entrati l’aria era irrespirabile. I ventilatori non erano presenti in ogni stanza e quando abbiamo chiesto ulteriori ventilatori, ci è stato risposto che non sapevano se li avevano, ma il ventilatore è comparso magicamente solo dopo che avevamo fatto presente che uno di quelli presenti nel lodge era perfino rotto. Inoltre, il termosifone del bagno era incandescente e, dopo che lo abbiamo fatto presente, ci hanno garantito che sarebbe venuto qualcuno a controllare, ma non si è visto nessuno. Non c’è modo di comunicare; il personale risponde sempre con le stesse frasi preimpostate. Peccato, perché la struttura è davvero bella.

It had lots of space in the lodge. Everything you needed with complimentary biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities.
It was way too hot, no air con but did have fans but the bathroom radiators wouldn’t turn off. Good for winter not for summer.
Great location and fantastic facilities. Golf course looked challenging but beautifully maintained and very popular with members & guests. Brilliant health spa and fitness centre. The staff were excellent. Warm greeting on arrival and very friendly & helpful throughout our stay. Room was spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
Restaurant service on our last evening was a bit chaotic which was a shame. Seemed to be too many bookings and not enough staff so we had to wait a long time for our food, weren't offered water for the table, drinks or desserts. Just a bad night which left us feeling a bit disappointed. Wouldn't deter us from a return trip though.

The breakfast really let it down. No pastries or freshly cooked breakfast items.
The staff were really nice, the spa was decent too (although the spin drier was broke). Other than the spa and the staff, the stay was truly awful.
Two single beds put together is not a double.
The mattress protectors have a very bumpy pattern and it was the most uncomfortable attempt at a sleep I've ever had.
The floor was stained, looked like poo stains.

I seriously contemplated sleeping in my car but it was full of stuff for an exhibition so wasn't really possible.
Drove 4 hours, played a round of golf and all I wanted was a nice room and a good night's sleep. I really got the polar opposite.
