We only stayed for one night to make use of the spa and my husband, the golf course. The hotel was very clean and it felt like standards were high. The staff were all lovely and seemed as if nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Sienna at reception who was so lovely and helpful at both check in and check out. The spa facilities were really nice and clean and the pregnancy massage I had in the spa was something I wish I could have on a daily basis! Husband enjoyed the golf course and friendly and helpful staff over there too. Beautiful surroundings and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay- thank you!
The only criticism we had was the food in the restaurant. It was of course perfectly edible but just felt like it let our stay down as it wasn’t in keeping with the rest of the standards around the hotel, spa and golf course. We opted for a pie and a burger- the burger being fine but the pie was actually not very nice. Perhaps just something to bare in mind if you’re looking to celebrate an occasion like we were. Only other thing would be that the actual spa is separate to the pool, sauna etc and you have to walk back through the main reception to get to the spa- so had to plan this carefully and get fully dressed after using the facilities and before having the massage. Can’t be helped due to the layout of the building I guess, but would have liked to have known this earlier.
Location. Nice room, cleaned daily. Gym, pool etc facilities
Staff only seemed trained for the gym side and not interested in hotel guests. On arrival simply took card and gave our keys, no information about hotel. Breakfast was ok but only one staff on to do everything, had to ask for bowl, spoons etc every day. In restaurant dirty glasses and slow service.

The availability of activities was good. Golf courses excellent. It is in a good location. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
The hotel is very tired looking. The staff didn’t seem very happy or engaged. The food was very average, especially the breakfasts which were more like a budget hotel standard.
Lovely quiet location with easy access to the great outdoors.
Food was very expensive and did not live upto the cost. Fish and chips ordered. Fish resembled the type of frozen oven fish you get at most supermarkets.
The location was beautiful. It was lovely to hear the birds in the morning.
Liked the facilities and the swimming pool
The water system in the lodge was very noisy. Not great if you have 7 people get up during the night to go to the toilet.
Calm and plesant place.
The Apple Tart desert. Wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Also clotted cream ice cream isnt the same as clotted cream.
Everything else was fab
The spa hotel reception staff very friendly and male waiter excellent. Rooms are good standard and friendly house keeping too. Relaxing.
A few things with menu items not being available from chef offered professional service with other options but menu items needs to improve. Breakfast not to usual standard either.
