Nice location, buildings,grounds.
Absolutely chaotic breakfast, never had such a poor experience. 3 staff on duty were great, but clearly let down by appalling management behind the scenes. 10 minute wait for cutlery, no cups for tea/coffee, no plates, cooked breakfast arrived in 3 separate efforts. Many guests hanging around waiting for something, spoke to reception who actually said “it’s like this every Saturday!” Still had to pay for breakfast because “we’d eaten it”, even if it took over an hour.
The location of the hotel was perfect for me!
The room, whilst very spacious, didnt have A/C and was therefore quite warm (albeit a fan was provided)... Breakfast in the morning was meant to be served from 6.30am but I had to leave at 6.55am and the breakfast wasn't ready! We were then told that this would be deducted from our room charge, but it wasn't! not really what you want at that time in the morning...

Location, food at the club house, spa, terrace.
Having checked in for the first time, I found the reception team could have been a little more helpful, took payment and gave me the key… no explanation where room was, where any facilities where, no breakfast information. Felt a little lost and left to figure it out.
Breakfast could have been better with more options.. I.e cold meats and cheese, not all of us enjoy an English breakfast, doesn’t leave us with much choice.
Facilities are exceptional, the gym is huge lovely pool and spa. It was so clean and enjoyable to use. I had breakfast in the morning which usually at hotels is really poor quality however the cooked breakfast looked really delicious. I had a croissant which tasted like a bakery quality and was still warm, organic selection of yoghurts, fresh juice, decent coffee
