Sad reasons for our stay. But definitely made the right choice choosing the Masons Arms
Pros:

We would highly recommend the Masons Arms. Every member of staff and Jason the owner were brilliant. Lovey Breakfast. Our Room was spotless. We will be staying there again. Hopefully trying the evening meal next time as the restaurant was closed on our visit.

Nice Pub with comfortable room
Pros:

Friendly welcome, good food, lovely room decoration and comfort.

Cons:

Quite noisy being adjacent to a busy road junction.
No socket by the bed was a bit of a pain.

Overall, a very decent stay with the food being the cherry on the top.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent. We both had a cooked breakfast but there was cereal available too. We also ate in the previous evening and the meal was fabulous. Really delicious, filling and with a two course option at a discount. The shower was really good and the bed really comfy.

Cons:

I was unable to get the fan to work so slept with the window open (as it was nearly 30°) but my partner said noise from the road disturbed her sleep

Difficult trip, and room lacked in certain areas, but the staff were great.
Pros:

The staff were lovely at the hotel and helped make a really negative trip (not the hotels fault) bearable.

Cons:

The room was extremely hot and my favourite thing when ever i stay in a hotel is the shower, but this was not the best. I would say that the bed was a little too small as well.

Bit of a hidden gem - great food and hospitality.
Pros:

We had room 2 - it was spacious with wardrobe hanging space. Decoration is a good standard and fun! Breakfast was freshly cooked and coffee strong :). Evening food was well cooked. Over all the team there are helpful, engaging and very hard working. Hotel room lovely and warm, large towel rail to keep all the towels toasty!

Cons:

It can't be helped but the noise from outside the room (traffic and extractor fans) when the windows were open for fresh air was a little distracting. However, we knew that it is on a main road so this is more for others to be aware.

Really friendly and comfortable stay with good menu for dinner and breakfast!
Pros:

Easy access location. Clean and comfortable. Great atmosphere with very friendly service. Good food.

Cons:

A double mattress on the bed would have been better than two singles, but still very comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic!
Pros:

It was a last minute booking due to visiting a relative in hospital. The staff were great & so accommodating & friendly. The food was amazing (dinner & breakfast) even though they were so busy with Xmas parties they still made sure we were happy with everything. Our room was very clean & comfortable with the best pillows!! Great place & we will definitely be back. You are all fantastic, thank you again.

A pleasant stay for an overnight experience
Pros:

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, we needed to get away early so they were happy to start breakfast at 7am on a Sunday morning for us. Huge & delicious Full English breakfast. The locals were enjoying the pub on a Saturday night so had a good vibe. Dinner options were good. Room and bathroom were clean, bed and pillows were great, tea/coffee, bottled water and biscuits. Free parking. Small local pub feel that is owned privately.

Cons:

Price was a little high but it seems a pricier part of the UK anyway. Having the full breakfast made it reasonable. There isn’t a welcome desk, enquire at the bar, & walking the bags through the bar area, but understandable given the traditional building.

Pleasant enough, marred slightly by the lack of food. I’m sure on another occasion it would have been great.
Pros:

Good location for where I was working. Room was comfortable.

Cons:

No food being served in the evening as the chef was ill. While not the hotels fault you would expect there to be more than one person there that could cook.
