Will return, but not in the summer.
Pros:

Great location and staff, but no air con for really hot days and the present heatwave, which made it uncomfortable. Breakfast great and cleanliness.

Cons:

No air con

It should mention when booking that there is no Air Con and no lift.
Pros:

Great staff. Excellent food. Wonderful location

Cons:

You can’t help the weather, but the intense heat brought its problems. No Air Con. the one window would only open 4 inches, the fan wasn’t working and they didn’t have a spare. The room was like a sauna and the bathroom was even worse. Needless to say, both my partner and I had 2 nights with no sleep. I understand that it is Grade 2 listed and therefore improvements can’t be made, but myself and other residents (older) should be made aware and there were others who felt the same.

Perfect location, helpful staff and a clean room
Pros:

The location was absolutely perfect, being in such a beautiful park and the lovely sights around but still being close to the town centre. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for a short stay and the staff were extremely accommodating and helped with whatever we needed.

Comfortable but not exceptional
Pros:

The location was beautiful and the staff was very friendly.

Cons:

The rooms were very small and hot - especially on a hot day, a fan isn't the best in keeping cool. While clean the hotel itself could use an upgrade.
