Comfy, clean and a 15 min walk from the train station.
Friendly staff on reception.
Very accommodating, I arrived early and they booked me in early instead of me waiting forb3hrs lol.
They were responsive on the messaging system when I had questions.
Bed was comfy and room was the right temperature for me, with access to alter the heat as you like.
The place was quiet, ie, other people staying didn't make a racket which was nice.
You have access to the gym and fitness facilities.
Breakfast was nice.
The cafe was a little slow to serve (not for breakfast, just in general)
Only positive was the location
I asked on phone to have 2 twin rooms next to each other as I was in 1 room with my carer as I'm disabled and my children where staying in the other room and 1 was also disabled so I needed them to be close. I was told we could have rooms 3 and 4 as they were on ground floor plus literally opposite each other. Oh no we checked in to be told we wasn't in them rooms and we was on totally different floors (so a disabled person had to walk up the stairs which was a big issue) plus nowhere near each other.
Good breakfast.
Comfy bed and large room.
Free parking, Wifi ok
USB plugs in power points
VERY noisy heating system, even with the radiator turned off it was just as noisy - keep us awake all night.
Bathroom - clean but poorly designed - The heated towel rail was in the shower cubicle!!! There was no cubicle door, so water escaped and the bottom of the bathroom door was rotten (bits falling off). The mastic all around the tray was mostly missing!
Numerous small snagging jobs needed to tidy up the room (paint, cracks etc).
Very good value.
Full of sporty types which made me feel like I should be exercising more!
The breakfast is very good but it starts too late at the weekend. It needs to start at 7am as some people need to get going early.
Breakfast times need to be earlier at the weekend.
There were guests staying who the staff knew that were disruptive and noisy.
I thought i had booked a room with two single beds, but my room had a double bed
