Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable, quiet , everything you need from a nights stay, amazing breakfast included
The bathroom needed a refresh.
Breakfast good, chef very attentive. Comfortable bed with crisp white bedding. Parking easy
The bathroom was very tired and really needed a deep clean. Couldn't open the bedroom window as broken. Room was noisy until quite late from the downstairs games room.
what a fabulous place to stay. all the staff were so friendly and welcoming to myself and dog joe. super comfy bed...cosy room...
the food was fantastic. I had the bull burger...Best Burger ive ever had and proper hand cut chips. great choice of ales on tap. breakfast was a full English but there were other choices.
if you want a welcoming experience in a traditional coaching inn..you will find no better than the bull hotel.
I liked everything and so did dog joe.
Great staff and tasty food. Perfect breakfast. Good location for antiques hunting. Car park in the back is very convenient!
Room small, uneven floor. Quite noisy in the evenings with loud bar guests outside, could literally hear what people were saying. Fortunately not later than 11pm though. And a small tip: please don't put strong smelling synthetic airfresheners in the room, very unpleasant.
Thankfully the Bull sent me an email with the post code of their car park, so I found it easily. Welcome was great and check in was easy. Room was clean and ideal, a four poster bed was a pleasant surprise and a nice clean bathroom was a bonus. Bar and restaurant was brilliant and my evening meal was lovely, dinner served on a warm plate, perfect. Breakfast was great and lots of options if you are picky. Overall if I am traveling here again I would stay here again. It is that good!

All ok been before !
Nothing
Room very clean. Lots of space. Breakfast was the best I have had in a long time. All staff very polite and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again if im in this area
Nothing to dislike
The staff are great, the breakfast amazing, and dinner was good too.
The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would like it, random hairs on the toilet seat and by the sink. Bedroom could do with a freshen up.
This was dangerous last review said it wasn’t for some unexplained reason and it was.
After a lady talking us through how to get to the car park we checked in, had a good meal. We explained we would be leaving at 715 am in the morning and the lady said she would be there.
When we wanted to leave everywhere was locked and there were no staff. We couldn't get out. A fire door was locked downstairs which is illegal and would be fatal in a fire. I remembered there was a fire escape upstairs and us and another couple had to leave through this. We were both at the same sporting event and if we hadn't found a way out we would have been too late.
Sandwiches
Made out all night no fridge could cause food poisoning
Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Food was great
Very dated room, shabby, needs complete overhaul. Bathroom grubby - to point we didn't want to step into shower. Holes in curtains, lots of cobwebs, black windowsill, toilet seat wonky, missing knob on wardrobe, tie back hooks hanging off
Breakfast on the first day was good but I wasn't offered a choice of how I wanted my egg. I also didn't get any toast or a second cup of coffee. Completely different on second day with all three covered (and a pot of coffee!)
The bed was comfortable but the room could have done with a second chair or luggage rack - there was room for either.
Having the television so high up meant for a crick in the neck. There was no wifi code in the room and - purely personal preference - I hate a glass tea cup!
The staff were friendly, the food in the evening and breakfast were lovely.
It’s a nice old traditional pub
The sash windows were mouldy and filthy I appreciate it’s an old building but it could have been cleaner, bathroom wasn’t that clean and no shelving in shower to put any toiletries or near sink was a shelf above the toilet. The room was very warm we did try to open the window but it wouldn’t stay up so had to wedge something underneath it
Horncastle is a beautiful old town. We set off a rainy gloomy day not sure if best to cancel. I am so glad we ignored the weather and set off to start our nine miles walk from Horncastle, along Viking way and through Lincolnshire wolds and end at our hotel. Beautiful scenery, lush grass and views all over Lincolnshire. The town offers several cosy cafes. The hotel was nice and clean. Big room. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. Staff nice. We had a lovely weekend, thank you.
